Hello Everyone,
I am planning to submit my application next week

One doubt I want to clarify -as per the Instruction guide for additional docs
7. Additional documents (as required)

Possible documents are:
•translations of documents that are not in English or French
•supporting documents to prove a name change
•supporting documents to prove a date of birth correction

I saw some members have mentioned NOA, T4, Employment letter, Home Utilities,Banking,.. etc.. why do we need these. If CIC meant as must they should have asked but what is the need here to submit these docs.

Can someone advise if these docs for Citizenship is a mandate or people just sending them to make the case strong or may be proactively trying to avoid application return ?
I have all these docs with me but wasnt sure if to send until I saw some post here.

Also why we need to send some forms in duplicate, as one of the member asked if he should include kids school index card with wife's application also? while he is already attaching as part of his application and in same package?

Thanks and all the best to everyone in this forum.

As I found in forums I send t4 slips & Noa . At this time not mandatory but in May 2014 cic included this option in the forms but not in the instruction now they finish the line of ( provide the work record) .what is meant by some forms in duplicate ??? If you are talking about any record just like children education record you can mention in letter that it is for both.

thanks guys, I appreciate the fast reply... I am writing the table of content and will copy it here as well. In the mean time I have another question! what IDs will work for the children? they game a sample of school records and a health card in the guide but in the check list they said one has to have a photo !! both the school records and the health card has no photos! will the PRC work? can I still use a passport?
Hey guys, no one replied to me, please advise as I am confused.

Dear Calgarymak,
That is exactly the two documents that the CIC would like to see. Please take a look on this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/CIT0003ETOC.asp#CIT0003E4
Go to Step 1, #3.
Please send your children's school records and their health cards (copies) and you should be fine with your family.
No worries my friend.
Cheers,

Welcome in percyperry,
1. Most applicants who sent extract documents do so to avoid RQ. I am not sure if this influence the process. However, a theory that sending additional docs. reduce waiting time has been circulating for a while.
2. Make it easier for CIC-agent to review family application not recommended to single applicants.
Hope that this helps.
