Hi, I called CIC yesterday they said my file is at the local office scarborough and they are waiting for the last background check results from RCMP. Hopefully i should get test invitation sometime soon.

Ontario and its CIC centers are on one planet with 6 month processing and Quebec is on another with its average 18-24 month processing.. now tell me about the efficiency in spreading the resources and budgets.

Today I received Citizenship Test Letter in mail.

My timeline is as follows:

1.We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 17, 2013.

2.We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 17, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

3.We started processing your application on February 27, 2014.

Received Line disappeared on dated 15 May 2014.

I received fingerprints request from CIC ST. Clair on dated 5 June 2014.

Fingerprints taken on dated 9 June 2014 on Commissionaires, Toronto.

Recived e-mail from RCMP on dated 27 June 2014 and was informed in e-mail they sent fingerprints results to CIC St. Clair on dated 11 June 2014.

Called Immigration on dated 27 June 2014 and was told by agent they received results on dated 16 June 2014 and background check ups are in process and file is transfered to Scarborough. Agent told me wait few more months for test date.

And finally Test Invitation received on 8 July 2014. Test date is 28 July 2014 at Scarborough Town Centre.

As I am living in downtown Toronto so I thought my local office would be St. Clair but happy to know that test and other stuff will be done at Scarborough.

I'm also in Montreal, and was doing some research. It seems that things are getting better though. The November 2013 people are having their citizenship test in June.

Scarborough is at the top .... Mississauga no news .... I called and CIC informed my file has been moved to Mississauga since mid May ... No news since then ... let's hope ... I read someone got test invite from Mississauga applied in FEB 2014.

Not sure what is the criteria ... This is mistry
