Got ME yesterday :). Already updated the data.

Congrats! Thanks for updating.... Good to see movement in other NOCs, aside from 2174. :)

Hi Sukhi,

Don't panic. The current trend has been that you receive your Bio Data, RPRF and passport via ONE email only (which includes all the attachment and instructions). I did my medicals on 11 August, and all my PPR, Biodata and RPRF request came yesterday all in one email.

Regards

Just want to share the experience of a friend of mine, he sent the application june2013, got AOR in end of July, and sept15 he got his MR request. I am happy for him but makes me a little worried about my application. I applied Feb1, AOR march12 and after that I did not hear anything from CIC. I don't know what this means but I do hope everybody gets their permanent resident soon. I just want to share...

Hi, Sukhi123

I got RPPF the day before I got ME. So, every case is different.

Do you know and can you share details on his app? Is he married or single? Under what NOC he applied? Whatever you know... tnx! :)

He's single. Food service supervisor. I think CIC processes applications they receive on a random manner which is kinda unfair and we can't do anything about it except to wait.

Ya....not really fair! But I think its more the fact that files are given to VOs and they process them at their own pace/order. At least thats how we did it at the agency I worked for. I would venture to think its cuz some VOs go faster, while some take time to go over every little detail. Also, factoring in for instance if there is a file that requires extra attention/review...would hold up the rest of the pile, while its sorted through. Just a thought!

Thanks for the info on your friend. At least we can see movement in different NOC categories. :D

Hello friends

Yes.... well, do we need any more proof? no. As iv said before and I know it does piss people off!. Its totally RANDOM!. Is this professional?, no!. But there isn't a darn thing we can do about it!. Are the VO's aware or bothered that such a forum exists where we can compare notes/timelines etc.? if they do or don't we do have such a device as this forum and in turn can see this randomness happening, I love Canada obviously hence my application but this is a very 'Canadian' aspect of the people themselves. just the way it is guys, your either lucky or your not, just have to suck it up!!

Have you guys seen South Park episode margharitaville? There is a scene in which US treasury uses a board game in which they cut chickens head off and let the decapitated chicken run in a board containing various spots (bail out, try again, bad bank, tax rich etc) until chicken falls off (sorry being graphic). US treasury then uses the decision under the spot (bail out) at which chicken falls off.

May be they are using a similar method to process our applications! Lol

LOL, something like that. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a messy desk with files everywhere lol :D

I think it might be something like this:

Each VO is assigned a batch of files. But some VOs are faster and others are slower. So even if you and someone submitted application at the same time, the beginning of processing might be different because you are assigned to different VOs.

Once they started processing your application, many other factors can influence your application. For some applications, VO may need to verify work experience. For others, criminal and background check may take longer. VOs are also human and they may take a vacation once in a while.

If your process is significantly longer than others in your same month (by at least a month), try order GCMS notes to see if there is anything wrong.

Get your point to a degree, but I have still seen MANY applicants who have applied at the same time as one another (each with no issues) and one getting PR WAY before the other!, You cant dream this shit up I tell yer. They just pick and put down as they go
