December 2012 Application

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum. I see that most Nov 2012 applications have got MR by now. However, I only see couple of MRs for Dec 2012 and Jan 2013 applications.

Is it because of strike? Any reason why couple of Jan applications have got MR before most Dec applications?

I guess processing of PR applications has been temporarily put on hold because of the strike. As I read from a news article, CIC has shifted its focus on temporary residence visas as tourism industry and universities are heavily dependent on foreign nationals to sustain profitability.

However, this shift is expected to be temporary - only until fall / winter kicks in I hope we see some good news soon!

Not sure what logic CIC uses for application processing.

Actually, 3 jan applicants got mr so far. I sent it on 6th jan.

Not really sure what order they are processing.

Hope dec applicants too see mr this month.

Does Visa office indicated in the application have any impact on the processing time. I think I had read somewhere in the forum that all CEC applications are processed in Ottawa.

Hello friends

Its almost like they take the processing of applications in quarterly chunks, hence the October to December applications getting MR etc. Lets hope they move onto the next quarter soon if that's the case!, in saying that I know we've seen an MR or two for jan already but you know what I mean

wow: congrats to pandyanmaya & sukhi 123 ... keep us posted! Mine was dec 7 application , got no medical request yet. hope they would start processing all dec applications now... Did you guys recv a bio data form or RPRF?
