This is my plan also, I'm just waiting on the visa becoming available as i'm sure many are haha

General question, What are people thinking about third party agencies, such as BUNAC?? and im sure there are many more
is anyone going to use them?
Im unsure at present, as my brother used them, and got his IEC Visa couple years ago, but said they didn't really do much,
so kinda a waste of money, but is it a waste if they actually do help your chances of getting the visa....just wanted to see what others thought.

I am going thru this as well. I have been at my current professional job or 2 years and my temporary visa expires in may 2013. I read that it takes up to 14 months to get approved, so I am thinking the best course of action is to extend my temp visa first (which is supposed to take about 2 months, then apply for Canadian Experience Class permanent residency. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Paul, why would you wait? Apply for CEC if you are eligible. The two have nothing to do with each other. In fact the earlier you apply, the better as it won't put you into a bad situation where your work permit or visa expire while waiting for PR.

Chelz143 - I guess we can make a copy of our Notice of Assement. Isn't?? Anyways I have a quick question ..For how many years of notice of assessment your attaching. Are you also attaching T4s for year 2011?

hi , i have one year post-graduate education in Canada ( Its not a msters program) and have been working in a company for 1 1/2 years.
I recently got my LMO approved.
According to CIC to apply under CEC category it says that the education should be a full time 16 months +1 year work for eligibility or 2 years work in Canada. Few ppl are saying that it would be changed eventually in the legislation for 2013. I am not sure how to proceed with it. Please advise if i am eligible to apply .

hi there,

Can someone help me plz convert the ielts scores to canadian language benchmark. ive been trying so long to figure it all out n till now i have no answer. Im applying to Canadian expereince class ( skill type 0 ).

Im required to have Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLBs) of 7 in each ability or 6 in one ability, 7 or more in two abilities and at least 8 in one ability.

My ielts scores are:

Listening : 6
Reading : 5.5
writing : 6
Speaking : 7.5

i used the new conversion chart but till now im still confused .

im hoping to get an answer plzzzzz.

I'm December Applicant. I'll have my one year on Dec 7th. Gonna wait a few days after then send the application in, but I already have all the document required except the employment letter. Just waiting for that to go ahead.

Currently CEC requirement is 2 years. 1 year is going to come into effect in January so technically you can only apply in January. But please wait for it to be announced formally..
