on a funnier note. As I was browsing the other threads on this website something caught my attention. This person was asking if he could sponsor his 99 yr old grandfather to come canada ? Someone mentioned to them that it could take up to 5 years to get an approval. So the person replies : What if he dies along the way? He cannot wait that long he really wants to come to Canada to see HOOTERS.... lol...some ppl are really something

I sent damascus an e-mail to see whether they had received the documents we sent or not.. and I got an automated reply right away saying to check the website for any questions and that they don't acknowledge any receipt of documents. So I guess that answers my question. I still find it ridiculous that they don't acknowledge receipt of document because they give u a deadline to send back a certain document and if let's say the document is lost you'll never know about if until a few months later when they tell you that they still haven't received anything from u..

I heard that it matters from where people are sponsering from, if it is from quebec , the time OF THE PROCESS is less because they have less paper work then the rest of CANADA..what do you think all about that news?

me I am in quebec , What I heard is that the people that sponser from quebec have less papers so logicaly it takes less time for the evalutations since its quebec that give you the CSQ

When did your medical expired ?
I think it is a wise move to get a new medical, few weeks before the expiray date of the existing one and have it handy.

Medical is sent to Paris then to Damascus but you have to submit the paper to damscus for them to order the result from paris
