MH.Danesh , Ali_M3 , Rola 14 any acknowledgment that your Residency Questionnaire has been received?

No, I sent them an e-mail regarding it but I received the automated reply that your application is in queue for review.

Hello everyone,

I never received an acknowledgement letter from them and there is no updates on the E-Case regarding this, but my wife told me she knows from the courier company that she has sent the document with that they got it on 24 JAN 2011.

Hi AAM7,

I did receive a letter with the file number and the questionnaire from Damascus and as far as I know they have all the information they need. The eCAS says a decision has been made from Canada that was back in May and In Process, medical received on Aug 4 in Syria. There has been no changes on it since the beginning of the process. I think I did not miss anything, I even went back to the first email, re-read it to make sure that I did everything correct. As far as I know, I did.

Welcome minsha!!!

when I check the eCAS, dosn't say anything regarding to the medical , is this a bad thing ? :(

Hi AAM7,

Are you sure it is not there, if you click on the IN PROCESS part it says the day it started process in Syria and that is where it says MEDICAL REPORT RECEIVED.

Inshallah all of our files will process quickly, this waiting and not knowing anything is really driving crazy. ???

on my eCAS it only says : We started processing your application on August 3, 2010.
that is all , nothing about medical :(
does any one else missing the Medical in the eCAS or it is only me ??? ???

well me too it never said anything about medicals??

my e-cas says the following:

Permanent Residence Application Status
Application Received

when I click on it, i see :
We received XXXXXXXXXXXX's application for permanent residence on January 18, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

does it mean it is in process?
how long more i need to wait
this whole process is driving me nuts...

PS - I am sponsoring my wife.

Thank you in advance

Welcome Mikey;

I think it means they have received ( not started to process ).
Did they ask you to send them Residency Questionnaire ?

I believe the time is starting to tick after they receive filled-in RQ form , and it will take around 6~8 months after that.
During this time your application will wait for BC report and sits in a long queue for an officer to review. Honestly I am sure the actual processing will not take more than a week , but it seems the damn queue is too long and officers are lazy enough.
Just don't loose your faith and pray for yourself and us.

by the way please post your timeline and I will update our list.

ya seriously AAM7 what' take so long to do a background check on someone. I'm sure background check takes longer just because we are from the middle-east or maybe like you said people are just lazy... And they should definitely update their message services instead of e-mailing people ridiculous things about a ''queue'' we're not waiting in ''queue'' at the supermarket here. I mean seriously what's so hard to do ? you look at a file you approve it or you don't.. it's not a thesis for a PHD in engineering it's just a very simple file to look at lol
And on top of that it's not like the process is free!! We pay taxes then we have to pay thousands of dollars for lawyers and thousand bucks for the file and on top of THAT my provincial government charges me 250$ for WHAT?? To send me a stupid letter of approval telling me my husband is accepted in their province and that he should learn about the culture in Quebec before immigration..seriously this is ridiculous

Really ?
You mean they gave you approval but they are not going to issue a visa for your husband unless he learns about culture in quebec ?? :o
the best way to learn about a culture is to live in that culture, they don't understand this.
