Hello everyone!
I plan on applying for the express entry program.
I am currently pursing a master's degree in engineering that I will finish in 6 months. According to my projections , I should get enough CRS points in 6 months because I am a native french speaker and I scored good scores at the IELTS, however, I also want to include the diploma that I am currently pursuing in my application (otherwise it might be close to the cutoff) .

Do you know whether the diplomas that are currently pursued can be taken into account in an application? (I have already obtained 85% percent of the credit necessary to graduate and I was only delayed because COVID interrupted my research activity).
If I wait untill I graduate my understanding is that the process might take longer? Or won't it make a difference at all because the draws are made on certain dates?

I am sorry if my questions have been answered before!
Thank you for your time and stay safe!

You can count a diploma but if you have a masters then the diploma will not give you extra points. Masters is the higher than 2 degrees/diplomas.

Thank you for your answer! This is my first master's degree, it will give me extra points, my question was wether I could count it if I am not going to complete it before a few months

You can only get points for education you have actually completed. So since the diploma / masters is still in progress, you cannot claim points for it now.
