I think I'm going to call tomorrow to see if they got my FBI check. I mailed it a few weeks ago but I'm still pretty early in the process so I hope it all gets to the right place and in my file before they request it.

1. Mine got updated on a holiday. A sunday night / Monday early morning. Not a Tuesday. I've seen people get an update on Sunday's on normal weeks. So, it's definitely not just on Tuesday. The one common thing I see again and again is I really think they update ECAS after midnight (Ottawa time). So checking once a day in the morning works best.

2. I think that's a safe assumption. 5 to 7 months seems about right these days for US outland. I've seen people do 4 months but that's not always the case. I wouldn't freak out after seven, though. Some people take longer. Mine did.

Your application seems to be going along nicely as expected. Looks good from what I can see. The next update you'll probably get will be a batch EMail asking you for stuff that you probably already gave them. It's like a reminder. It asks you to pay if you haven't paid the fee yet, for your clearances, for proof sponsor lives in Canada, and something else, medical maybe.

The same here we got our DM on Family day this past Monday and did not get a request for new photos either. Hope to see the COPR next week in the mail

Now I'm like you, waiting for the COPR. I feel like it won't be real unless I have the COPR in my hands to really know that my decision was a good one. I'm paranoid about not being asked for new photos!

Aww you’re too sweet hun... I have really great news actually...Since you know how I go crazy and stuff I was able to get a hold of CPC Ottawa through their email address <CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca> and they gave us a response super quick... here is what they said:

So my advice to you guys is to not call the call centre as they are useless... They don’t give you anything at all... Email them with your inquiries directly but make sure you include the Name, DOB, APPLICANT AND UCI NUMBER and the detailed inquiry you have as they will give you an answer right away!


P.S. I don’t know what’s taking so long with the mail...ugh. Have to keep it a little bit of a secret as my hubby’s aunt passed away and my mom in law is still grieving...Don’t want her to think too much about this... but he should receive it this week or possibly the next... VERY VERY VERY HAPPY!!!! Try out what I did guys if you wanna know if the “decision made” is a good one!

Thanks James - I woke up to a batch email this morning that asked for 2 things (1) payment of "Right of Permanent Residence Fee in Canada" by 4/4/2016 & (2) "Proof of ongoing Cohabitation", though we submitted proof already, I'm assuming this is just to make sure we still live together in the time since our application was submitted!? So I hope this is good news!

That's good news! The batch email is definitely a sign you're getting close. Since you already paid I'd go ahead and send the proof if I were you, just in case. If they ask a second time you'll go in the back of the line.

Just an update, my husband’s COPR arrived yesterday...It took 13 calendar days I am so happy he’s coming soon...although he’ll land in April because of some paper work and all that stuff.
