Signs of life :D

When you say "ready for COPR" email so you mean passport request/submit more photos?

Yup, that would be the email! We've moved to Decision Made online as well.

So hang tight everyone, hopefully some of you will get news soon!!

When did you get DM? Just curious as I applied a day before you.

We got the emails in the last 30 minutes, so presume DM went up today. I think I checked the online system on Thursday or Friday and it was still IP. Hope you get news soon.

They sent you the COPR via email?

We got an email saying:
Your application for admission to Canada as a Permanent Resident may now be ready to be finalised, conditional to a final admissibility review by the immigration officer.

We have to send more pictures, an updated information chart and copies of passport pages to the Sydney processing centre, and they will then issue the COPR by post from what we work out.

Oh wow. Congrats.

Excellent, congrats!

I think you're the first of the 20th Aug batch who got a doc request to see DM. Loads more this week please Ottawa.

The way I see it, and maybe I'm being too optimistic, is that either we'll be seeing lots of DMs this week before the long weekend, or it will be next week after Tuesday. If I were them, I'd get a bunch of them switched to DM so I didn't have as much to do when I got back to work Tuesday, haha.

Got my notes today - nothing extraordinary in there, and I wasn't expecting anything either since they were ordered shortly before before we went IP. I do have one question though for those that have ordered them recently. My medicals show as received and passed, with a note about a condition that doesn't cause an immigration issue (which I assume is my high blood pressure). It still shows my expiration date for one year out from when I originally had the medical done.

I think I recall others saying that they had seen extensions on theirs...can anyone confirm? If so, then based on the pace of movement in Ottawa, I am either in for a re-medical request or a very short timeline for landing. Mine are set to expire on Nov 27.

Thanks in advance.

They will most likely extend your medicals, I don't want to say all but the majority of remedicals happen for applicants in third world countries however there have been a few rare exceptions where U.S applicants have been requested for another medical possibly due to health concerns.

That's more or less what I was thinking, but some people already have that extension in their notes (or at least that's what I'm trying to confirm) and I'm in about the same timeline in terms of when I ordered notes versus when I went IP. Heck, I thought you were maybe one of those people.. ;)

Yea it states in the GCMS notes that medicals can be extended. My medicals also expire in November

My notes don't have that statement - or if it does, I can't find it...

Hi all, just wanted to share that I officially landed today at Fort Erie Peace Bridge. :) I first drove in through that border over 2 years ago, so it seemed fitting to end the journey there too! The US side was actually quite nice to me and the officers on the Canadian side were stone faced as ever, if not rude.... I guess I was expecting a big welcoming committee lol. Oh well! Happy to be done now :) Good luck to all of you. I'll still be reading/commenting to see you all through the end :)
