Hi all, just wanted to share that I officially landed today at Fort Erie Peace Bridge. :) I first drove in through that border over 2 years ago, so it seemed fitting to end the journey there too! The US side was actually quite nice to me and the officers on the Canadian side were stone faced as ever, if not rude.... I guess I was expecting a big welcoming committee lol. Oh well! Happy to be done now :) Good luck to all of you. I'll still be reading/commenting to see you all through the end :)

Congratulations, ChellyCat!!! :D

Thanks so much! I thought this day would never come :)

Just noticed a section of my GCMS Notes says under Eligibility Assessment on pg. 6 of my notes:

Create Date: 2015/08/05
Status: Not Started
Due Date: 2016/08/03
Assigned To: RC-9570

So the due date is a year out. Is this standard? Will this eligibility assessment collect dust until August 2016? Does anyone else have this on their notes?

Mine is a year out from the create date as well - I think that's standard as I saw someone else with that too.

Thanks for answering that, rugrat907! If that's standard, then they obviously don't wait until that date for all applicants.

Let's hope not! But that would put you at 14 months from beginning to end, and in my case it would put me at the same 14 months. Since people are getting through generally in 8-10, it would be way out of bounds to all of a sudden have cases taking that long from beginning to end. It's probably just some internal deadline that in practice doesn't mean much.

Sigh...was really hoping to see a few posts between this one and the one I made about 9 hours ago...

Tracking the Ottawa VO, most standard applications should not exceed 11-12 months. It seems as of 2015 processing times for the Ottawa VO vary from 8-10 months and in 2014 processing times varied from 4-6 monthly, the increase in processing time is possibly due to Ottawa also processing EE applicants. The only reason it should take over a year to process is if Ottawa either lost some of the documentation or other documents/proof were requested. Unless there are major red flags highly unlikely a standard application will go 14-15 months or the 17 months the robotic call centre agents refer to.

There's a February applicant over on the BritishExpats.com forum got the same "ready for COPR" email today as MacnCheese did yesterday.

More signs of Ottawa life and people getting towards the end of the process! :D

It does feel like a few of the August 6 people are starting to shake out and get DM. Here's hoping there are a lot more this week!

Sorry to hear that they did not give you a warm welcome! lol I know what you mean as I experienced that too when I first landed as a PR 4 years ago... I am pretty sure they are just stern for security purposes... But I am so happy for you! I am hoping that my husband’s application shall come to pass soon!

If any of you reading this are long-time lurkers but haven't posted anything before, please consider sharing your stats if/when you see movement on your file, especially if you have DM. It's really nice to see updates, and more stats means more resourceful spreadsheets. ;)

Some updates for us as well:

Decision Made happened today :), hopefully we will see our COPR in the mail soon!
