Crisis averted :D Just checked my bank account online and now it has both of our names on it. We made it joint before we sent off the PR Application.

Now just to verify, the only thing they DONT want emailed is the PCC right? I've already sent mine in so it shouldn't be a problem. Does anyone know the expected formats otherwise? I assume they are good to open PDFs and PNG files.

That's right. I emailed my bank statements and utility bills in pdf form.

Checked my email and guess what, I also received the same email requesting "Proof of Residence/Intent to Reside." My wife will be emailing her bank statement.

So this is just speculation, but it seems like a lot of delays are stemming from those who aren't residing in Canada at the time of their outland app. Is anyone waiting longer than say, 6 months living INSIDE Canada?

Just wondering if the email was a generic one that is sent to everyone, even if you have already sent all the info or if it's case specific?

I ask this because we sent bank statements, joint bank statements, my girlfriends T4 slips, copy of her UK 2 year work permit, as well as police cert, medical and the payment with the original application. These are the things that were in the email so it wasn't clear if it's an email to say

"this is what your application should include and so if you have not sent any one of these yet, send it now."

Or they are asking you to find and send more info even if you have already submitted them.

My guess is, if you sent EVERYTHING with your original app, you should still send in proof that your sponsor does still reside/plan to relocate to Canada. I also got the email and sent everything with my Application the first time.

If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

My sponsor has always lived in Canada. So it's not that...and it seems that there are a lot of people getting this email where both are already in Canada, based on people talking about joint accounts, etc. So it seems like a generic email going out, even if you've provided the info before. To be on the safe side, we are going to resubmit documentation on her residing in Canada.

The email you received about intent of sponsor residence in Canada is a generic batch letter. This was confirmed when I received the same letter on August 20th which was in the GCMS notes on my file.

I think you are totally correct...

I might just email them all the PDFs that I printed and sent them with the application to cover myself.

It seems like the generic batch emails are a delay tactic, possibly to process more EE applicants.

Although possible, I'd much rather look at it as a positive and say that they are trying to get a batch of DM's out before the holidays start.

I was tempted to do the same thing myself

That's how I'm looking at it. While we haven't seen anything regarding our application yet, seeing at least some signs of life from Ottawa for those who applied about a month before us is very exciting to me. Things had been so quiet for so long!

Right, the reason I am stating this is, I got the letter for the RPRF payment and proof of residency in Canada for the sponsor back on August 20th. I got my notes last week, and no checks have started and no one has been assigned to look at the file so its safe to assume, the letter really means nothing I hope I am wrong.

Yeah unfortunately this email doesn't seem to indicate very much. I received the same email July 30, went IP August 6, and still nothing. I was SO excited when I first got it, believing things were moving along, but I've pretty much lost all hope now lol :(
