Hello friends! We are starting a new week and I wanted to ask Ottawa VO applicants when do they change their colour to AOR 2? (since Ottawa does not send out AOR 2s). Is it when they request new docs? Or should I assume they've recieved my application since it's been about two weeks since SA?

Silly question I know (the reason I ask is because I want to change my colour on the spreadsheet hehe... little things make time go by faster -- and it's been barely a month >_>).

Congrats on the SA - I'm a March applicant and still waiting on SA..calling this week to figure out what's going on now that they are processing April. We got AOR right in line with the other March applicants, so it's odd. Anyway, I do have a question...once you were able to log into ecas did it show that the person who was applying for PR had their application and medicals received? Just curious...

Sometimes I wonder if my constant checking of the spreadsheet is a good thing or not. Our timelines are almost identical and we both got AOR on the same day but your application is already in the hands of Ottawa and mine is still stuck at In Progress. I'd love to know what makes some applications go faster than others, especially at the SA stage where it seems like a pretty simple "yes/no" decision versus the judgement call that COPR requires.

Staying patient and sending positive vibes to the case workers in Ottawa. C'mon, float my application to the top of the pile. ;D

I checked ECAS today and saw that my status changed to DM - "A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision." After you get this, what do you get from the CIC? I hope it's an email... I'm so nervous that it is either a technical error or that I've been rejected, because I just applied in January!

Have you called CIC's call centre? For what it's worth, I don't think they send email conformations after DM. I got DM and I have not received any messages. I think it's pretty safe to assume that if they didn't request any missing documents, or send you an email challenging the validity of your relationship or asking for additional proof, that your DM means an approval.

When I called CIC to ask where they were mailing the letter, to make sure they had the right address, I asked about my DM and if I had been approved. He said he couldn't tell me one way or the other, because it hadn't been exactly finalized yet until they mail out the document (presumably CoPR!!!) but "let me just say that you have nothing to worry about!" ! Give em a ring and see what you can get out of em!

I updated myself on the Ottawa Spreadsheet but it won't change color, doesn't count my days properly I've noticed, and I'm in the wrong spot to correspond to my date etc.. Dunno?

Maybe this is a good sign. September 24 to June 2 that is like just over 8 months. I am a early April applicant, I guess I will be waiting till December.

It seems like if no mistakes are made by Ottawa (which seems to be a gift if they don't lose your stuff) then its about 240-250 days from App received to DM right now.

Seems half August apps (myself included) have yet to be finalized in receiving DM or CoPR. So you NEVER know what the time line will be. So stupid...lol.
