Hi all!

I'm excited to be joining this thread! We sent my common-law partner's application for PR in yesterday. It arrived at 10:30am today, so the count-down has only just begun for us, but I'm so excited. He's from Chicago but he lives in Vancouver with me and is in Canada with a NAFTA work permit. It took us months to get our application absolutely perfect and to compile the evidence, double-check, cross-check and organize everything.

I'm so relieved to be done and I love hearing about everyone moving forward through the process!

Good luck, everyone!

Welcome and good luck! :D

I went on my daily routine of checking e-cas yesterday, and guess what? I saw the two words: DECISION MADE! Wow (I had to log back in to make sure its real :D) I am so happy and relieved...To all those waiting, hang there, you will eventually get approved and all frustration will go away.

Yay for you guys!! Shouldn't be long now :)

Hey how do you know your Visa was issued May 15th? (from the info under your name)

Could someone please put me into the spreadsheet?

Thanks.

Of course! When did you get Sponsorship Approval? Was your file transferred to LA?

I think it was July 3rd, 2013. I don't know if my app has been transferred to LA or not. We sent an email (1st ever!) to CIC yesterday to request a update. So, we are waiting for a reply if there will be any!

Thank you!

No problem :) I put you on the spreadsheet.. Good luck! I hope you get an update soon. Have you requested notes?

I am just assuming..... e-cas says they started processing on May 15th. Maybe I need to change the date???

Oh! No I was just curious as to if they sent you an email or something :) I think that date is probably correct!

Thank you!

No we haven't ordered any note. Our lawyer didn't recommend doing that. Quote "Don't even think about it! It will be very suspicious"... I know it sounds stupid. But since we have signed a contract with them, so we don't want to do things around them.

FYI... it's only suspicious when the notes are ordered by mail. When they are ordered online, it has no bearing on the file. my guess is your attorney just wants to keep the control of the situation and doesn't want you asking him questions you have once the notes are received. you are free to order the notes whenever you want, and considering you are in the dark here, it may be your best option right now to know what's going on. it doesn't sound like your attorney is much help.

I really think you should order them. Your lawyer won't even know, really. They have a lot of good information in there. Or, you should contact your MP to see whats going on. 11 months is quite a while to wait with no word or update.

i agree, it's actually the right of the canadian to get this information for free, and your lawyer would never know unless you tell them. think of it as canada's "freedom of information act".

Yes. I'll wait for the response from CIC to my email request first. I'll give it a couple weeks. If nothing happens by then, I'll take some serious actions! hehe.

Yeah, it's been 11 months and no updates. I think my app has been transferred to LA. If that has happened, my timeline would be 26 months now!?!?!?!

I don't think I can survive another 15 months of waiting.
