[quote Outland - we got PPR in less than 6 months.

Inland - we'd still be waiting for Stage 1 approval. They haven't moved past October 2012 yet (despite being July 2013).

Our original plan was to apply inland until we saw the wait times. I would highly recommend going the outland route.

Hi all. I am not entirely sure how to add ourselves to the CPP-Ottawa spreadsheet as I seem to be unable to send PMs. Please delete this message if it is in the wrong place.

We just sent in our package yesterday. I am an American citizen. We had medicals done on Tuesday, July 9th. The package should arrive today, as it is out for delivery. How should I make contact to make any updates?

Thanks,
Clearly

You must have 10 posts before you can send PMs. Posting your information here should be enough for the spreadsheet to be updated with your information.

As already said, 10 posts and you can send PM's. Until then, just post your updates here and they will get put on the spreadsheet :)

Good luck and welcome to the boards!

I put in your info including today as arrival date. If you notice it's different (it'll be on your AOR) let us know! :D

I received my SA letter today!

Congrats! :D

Now to do my job (sometimes I feel like such a downer doing this) - did you get AOR?

Welcome to the "long" wait :P

Congrats! I got my SA on feb 10th and haven't heard a word since. Based on the spreadsheet I should have at least gotten PPR by now:( exercising patience.

Canada Post seems to have lost our package. Why we trusted Canada Post with our application is beyond me. They are looking for it, and we have our hopes. :/

My experience with packages sent to immigration offices in Canada is that the delivery confirmations are wonky. It can very much feel like your application has completely disappeared, when in fact it's just beginning the normal CIC process of being ignored for a very long time. It's when they finally open the package that they actually start losing stuff!

But seriously, give it a few days before you panic - the delivery confirmations are sub-optimal.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. We are hoping that that on Monday someone has the confirmation in a system or on paper and it will then be synced/put into the tracking system. On the occasion that the application was delivered and they have no record of it being delivered/can't find it, is there anyone I can contact at Mississauga to find out if it is there? I expect not since it is probably just in a big pile somewhere. When should we start getting new FBI letters, etc?

The biggest fear for us is that I would need to retake the medical, as I have a really bad fainting reflex to venipuncture. This last time, they took my blood and everything seemed to be going okay afterward for a few seconds and I was quite happy to have it over. Next thing I know I am being woken up from a rather idyllic dream and I can't see at all (completely black) and keep going in and out of consciousness as they try to snap me out of it and put oxygen masks on my face and whatnot. Really not looking forward to that again. Is there any chance that CIC would accept a copy of the medical confirmation paper we got, or that the medical office might issue a new one without doing the tests?

In addition, we did tracking + signature on delivery to the normal CPC-M PO BOX 3000, Station A. Should we have used the courier address because of the signature on delivery?

I would imagine the doctor's office would just print another for you, but hopefully you won't need to go there. If you're really worried (and I think it's quite early for that), you could order another FBI clearance, since that's what is probably going to take longest to get. They're relatively cheap to obtain, so you're not risking much by getting another one.

If it makes you feel better, ours didn't show up as signed for until long after the fact. We weren't sure CIC got our application until we got AOR.

I'm not sure that's going to make anyone feel better, Amikety.
