Thanks so much IvanP!! It kind of worked out well, actually. We are not having it courriered. Neighbors of ours from Cleveland were actually traveling to see their family here in Ontario, who happen to live a few streets away from us and they offered to bring the COPR to me :) So, I will be landing tomorrow. Working on the B4a form now :) Any update at all on your file?

Just something I noticed here, you said B4a. Did you fill up a B4 form? Because the B4a is only an extension of B4 :) Good luck!!

Thanks Parker! I worked on the B4 form, prior. However, I am not bringing anything in with me when landing as we are just "flagpoling". I filled in and checked some boxes but did not have much to write. Atleast, if I'm completing that form correctly :) Would you know...on the B4 form it mentions a "Mover's Inventory". What is the difference between that and the B4a form? Thanks for any help!

Nope, still waiting. Trying to get our household organized for packing. We've been in our house for 8 years now so we have a lot of accumulated stuff (most of which is crap and needs to be binned). So, we did a bit of move prep this weekend, then decided to go to the beach. The water was still a bit chilly, but it was perfect for surf fishing.

Hi All,

If you guys give me some feedback I would be really appreciated.
My common-law visa started in process at Buffalo in Nov 2011. Finally we received PPR on May 10th 2013.
My partner and I have to struggle so much about this process as we didn't know where my visa went after the Buffalo office closed because we didn't received any info from them. We could get more advise if we knew this forum has being here.
We are just waiting.....waiting.....
Since we received PPR I have been wondering how long should I wait again? I checked the spreadsheet ( thank you so much for someone who made this sheet it is really helpful :) some people who applied same year have received COPR within 14 days since PPR.
I don't want to be in the waiting game anymore I know now you guys are here might give me some advise. Or should I wait. :(

Wow, congratulations on finally getting your PPR after such a long wait!

If you haven't received any other document requests along with the PPR, it really should only take a couple of weeks from the time they receive the emailed passports. If you received requests for other documents, it will likely take much longer. I hope it's quick for you!

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how long it takes before receiving the actual Permanent residency card in the mail? My husband landed on April 14th and we still have nothing. thank you so much to all for your help.

If you have professional movers pack and move your goods, they create a 'mover's inventory' for each box. If you have a mover's inventory, you can attach it in lieu of / in addition to a B4 as goods to follow and would need to tick the relevant box. If you are attaching B4A's as a continuation of the goods you list on the B4, just tick the 'Form B4A' box instead.

Good luck :)

Give it a couple more weeks. It's currently taking 63 days (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp for updates).

92 days since PPR/document request, 84 days since Ottawa actually received the package with the docs they requested, and 75 days since the case officer logged all of the contents of the package (according to the GCMS notes we ordered). The notes didn't indicate any additional issues with our application. Ottawa doesn't respond to emails, and MP didn't respond to me either. This is getting ridiculous.

I would lean on your MP, they technically work for you!!!

Have any of the recently landed received your PR Cards in the mail?

okay, so the 63 days here is accurate then ...

Yes, but note that it changes quite often. So it might change to 80 something days *knocks on wood* and then you may have to wait even longer. But generally it does come within two months.
