I received my CPR today! The Ottawa office has been nothing but pleasant, helpful, and informative since my application was transferred.

We are planning to 'flagpole' at the border this weeend! :D.

Hnhkrk,

Just out of curiosity, did your ECAS change, and if so, when? My family's hasn't changed yet, but they got their PPR (plus a request for additional documents, which we promptly provided) at about the same time you did.

Thanks!

And yesterday it finally arrived.

No my ECAS didn't change either! We also got a request for additional documents showing that my husband is still currently residing in Canada.
I tried to check again today but it kept sticking!

So very exciting to see all the activity and spouses being reunited! I have a question: My spouse cleared on Jan. 4th, so, hopefully, we'll have news in the next month or so. I live in Texas and have to orchestrate retirement from my company, the property I'm leasing being sold this summer and my husband taking two weeks off to drive down here and haul a trailer back with all my effects. That being said, I've been packing one box at a time to get ready. I'm really not certain about listing effects, though. How did you do it? Can I put "Box 1" on a line in the form and attach my list? I have an Excel spreadsheet with a breakdown of what's in the numbered boxes and an estimated value of what's inside. I really need more info on this. What about the form for money being brought in? And what about jewelry? I have rings, some worth hundreds, a couple, maybe thousands, and they aren't insured, and I have no idea what they're worth. Am I going to have to pay for appraisals? Thanks in advance for your answers... all the activity this week in our group has left me giddy with excitement!

Yayyy finally! I feel so relieved for you! =) I hope your COPR arrives swiftly. You deserve it for having one of the best usernames on here, oh yea, and for going through hell with CIC! hehe

Many thanks all xxx

Is this really true? This seems like a strange regulation that would make it difficult to get rental cars or borrow a family or friend's car. Or does it only apply to cars you own?

In general, a Canadian licenced driver cannot operate a non-Canadian plated vehicle in Canada. There are some limited allowances for emergency situations (e.g., rental cars) but that's definitely the general rule.

eCAS Status changed to Decision Made on April 22nd.

Ok, so how long is the waiting period between PPR and COPR?

I got PPR on the April 19th (just a scanned copy of passport, which I sent 5 minutes after I got the email) and it got me so excited! Before I just knew I would have a long time to wait as they went through my application, but now that things are moving, I can't sit still!

Average is 30 days, I've been waiting 44 so far - mileage varies! Do you want to be added to the spreadsheet?
