Hello All,
here is our approval timeline.
Application received: June-18,2012
Sponsorship approved: Aug 29,2012
Passport Request: Dec 12,2012
COPR: Jan 14,2013
landed in canda: Jan 19,2013.
 
I dont believe im on the original spreadsheet from here but here is my timeline:

Application received: Aug 29, 2012
Sponsor Approval: Oct 15, 2012
Medical Done: Aug 9, 2012

And today Feb 26, 2013, we just got our PPR via e-mail. :D

Quick question, the e-mail said we can send them a scanned image of my passport via e-mail. Has anyone done it this way and led to faster COPR? I'm intrigued by this option, just paranoid that they won't check their e-mails in a timely fashion or it might get buried and they won't get to it/read it.

Congrats! I've added you to the spreadsheet. I think actually most people are scanning and emailing their passports now.
 
Spoke with our MP today. We were told that we will be getting an email regarding our Medical exam. We have already completed this part, and it has not been a year yet. Has anyone else ran into this problem?

And this is after you were asked for proof that you reside in Canada, right? Does ECAS say your medicals were received?
 
No Ivan, it does not say it was recieved. Can the medical office be called to send it again? Or what does that mean?

Given how unreliable ECAS is, it's hard to say. It could mean that they received the medicals, never made a note in ECAS, but there was an issue that they want investigated, or they received and lost them, or they received the medicals and the doc filled out the forms wrong or forgot to sign them or otherwise messed them up, or it could mean that they never received the medicals. Who knows?

Hope this gets resolved for you soon!
 
Just got a call from the Vancouver VO and I'm scheduled to land at their office on Thursday. So no walking across the border for me! haha

Awesome! Do the border walk anyway and make a picnic out of it, the Peace Arch Park is really lovely!

I'll still be around since I'll be working from home for a while anyway, plus I made so many friends here and I have no other way of talking to them other than this message board. So until they make a Facebook specifically for people immigrating to Canada, I'll be here ;-) lol

Awesome! My gym is around the corner (literally) from the Vancouver office (Expo Blvd, right?) I really should buy you that congratulations drink! ;-)
