URGH. Hit the average number of days between sponsor approval & PPR today. I am really hoping it's just a matter of days till I receive PPR now! I leave for Newfoundland tomorrow, to spend the holiday with the inlaws! I can't wait!

Have a great trip to The Rock :)
Hopefully your PPR will arrive soon. The rest of us too.

So, get this....apparently because my wife holds a visa exempt passport, she technically was not required to send her original passport. Did they state this anywhere in the original e-mail we received, no! But a week after we sent an e-mail asking about timeline due to the Christmas holidays and the fact that we have travel plans, and after we rushed next-day delivery of her passport, we received this:

"Since your hold a visa exempt passport, you may submit copies of all pages in lieu of the actual passport."

What a CIRCUS!!

haha, I thought it was strange that they didn't tell you to send copies, but hey at least you're almost done with them now =)

Just enjoy your holiday as much as you can, don't even think about CIC until after! haha

If only it were that easy....travel plans for the Holidays have been cancelled and we're staying home for two weeks!

Someone please help me out with this confusion. I FAIL to understand this. My VO is Islamabad, Pakistan. Why on earth would they transfer the file to Ottawa?

That does sound strange, but it actually sounds like it might be a good thing for you. The processing time for Ottawa is 12 months, the processing time for Islamabad is 26 months. Perhaps Ottawa is processing some of the straightforward Pakistan cases to help reduce the backlog. If true, that would be good for you on two counts: your case was deemed straightforward, and the Ottawa processing time is less than half.

Good luck!

Because CPP-O is being used to offload processing at offices with the longest time frames. I recall reading an OB about this. CPP-O does the work but the timeline remains that of the foreign VO.

Ottawa is handling quite a bit of applications from Islamabad recently, and yes like mentioned above this is a good thing for you, you'll have a much shorter processing time this way! =)

Hello folks,
I'm a November applicant and just signed up on this board. I'm apparently not allowed to send personal messages, so not sure how to get on the spreadsheet.... If anyone could let me know, that would be great.
Thanks!
