There is no pattern, logic, consistency, ... or anything in what they do. It took us 3months for the first stage, Now it takes 35 days! Can they take any of this into consideration!

Well I wish they posted an average like 10, 11, 12, 15 months, just an idea. It's not cool to be in the dark. That would give me time to plan things here in the US. I have tons of crap I need to give away or sell. If I had known I had a Canadian in my future I would have never invested in such stupid things. I just feel like giving everything I have to my friends, break my lease, quit my job and stay with my husband as a visitor.

Processing times stay the same per their say! (It does not make sense but that is what CPP-Ottawa is saying)

Oi, reading this forum is worrisome-- makes me think it wil probably be quite a while until I hear anything from them and I want to send them my prints already! -.-

Well....how many CPP-Ottawa threads are there? LOL I wish I could go into hybernating mode and wake up in 6 months to check on things :-\ Hopefully we can have at least an idea or find a pattern on processing times for Ottawa.

I'm afraid in a lot of cases, such as ours, 6 months wouldn't help :( It's been 14 months for us for a simple straight forward case. Hoping all of us get some good news soon :)

As if they really work by these published numbers or even by their own due dates! Sorry, don't expect a response soon or maybe ever!
Thanks for letting us know though

I did hear back from them but I was told that we are still within the 10 month time frame...
I totally get the frustration about the inconsistency with them! As if planing a big move isn't a pain enough when you add immigration to the mix it is a nightmare! We are pretty much just planing our move from the US to Canada around my new job and praying that my husband's PR comes in by then or that they let him come as a visiter. This is really turning into such a pain and add the fact that we can't move until the spring it makes it feel like a 7 month move and that isn't even looking at the move in and settling process...

Yep, I remember asking you what did you write :)
I totally understand...what I don't understand is CIC

Oh I didn't know there was a 10 month time frame. I checked the website and there is nothing about Ottawa processing times.
I guess I have a year to start selling my stuff and save some $$. I just went to find out about guitar classes today :D

If anything, Ottawa sure as heck tests the strength of a relationship with their wait times. Heck, I would voluntarily quit my job and volunteer to help with processing applications if that could get me my husband sooner. Falling in love sure has a high price tag - patience! =(

try waiitng 3 1/2 years for your partner. Still in process. >:(

Anyone that goes through CIC less than 1 year is VERY fortunate :

I made a CPP-Ottawa spreadsheet based on the September 2012 spreadsheet.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AieZfLOxQt2FdDgzNTFmc2E2bjJjVUhGVlhPMEcwbWc

I've set the document to "anyone can edit" so feel free to add yourselves or suggest changes!

I was just reading what had happened to our September spreadsheet so please don't delete anything! lol

I was happy to make the spreadsheet, but didn't want the responsibility of updating everyone's info, so made it freely editable. Hopefully no one will fiddle with it!

Thanks for making the spreadsheet! I wish I had some fantastic update for it... soon I hope. Perhaps you should share the link the the US Outland Thread? There are many Ottawa VO folks there too.

Added our info to the CPP-Ottawa spreadsheet. Thanks for doing this.

I was looking at the spreadsheet and I noticed that some of the entries have a different date format. Could we use one format only?
