Thanks! Got my CoPR in the mail yesterday 30 april, woohoo! Very quick all together. We sent our application in on 10 february 2016 and received decision made on 20 april 2016 > 2 months and 10 days!!! Superhappy, go CIC! However on my copr they filed wrong country of residence > i never lived in Germany..Strange. I wonder if thats going to cause any problems.. I sent a case specific email, hoping to clarify before I land. Want to wish everyone good luck and a superspeedy procedure like ours!

Congrats!! I really do hope our documents go to Ottawa, would love to have my husband home as everyone wishes to have their loved ones home soon too. Sending good wishes to everyone on this lovely Sunday.

Quick question,

As we know conditional PR applies to spouses married less than 2 years with no common children. Does CIC count the time you were married but not living together?

Next month is my husband and I's one year wedding anniversary, is that going to count towards the 2 years or nah?

My understanding is no, but I was just curious.

its how long guys known each other on the day u filed your PR.did u file outland with CPP Ottawa?.And 2 years starts when u recieve ur PR. Does ur PR card says Conditional PR?

I haven't received it yet, but it should be conditional. But yes, outland with Ottawa.

I submitted Inland Spousal Application on 2nd April 2015, Got Aor in May 2015, OWP in June 2015. I got a request for new passport copy request ( AS my old passport expired in May 2015), Police Clearance and Request for Marriage certificate on April 13th 2016, After we sent all 3 requested documents by courier to CPC- Missisuaga on 20th April 2016.On 28th April 2016 we got request for medicals. What is usual the next process. Can I still have interview between me and my wife or...As I havent recieved AIP or SA,that worries me a little.

I mean do you has anyone got SA or AIP after Medical.I always thought when they request medical you get SA at the same time.

If you applied inland, i would suggest you post your question in the inland thread. most people on this thread applied outland. what i can tell you is there is no "SA" for inland applications. Sponsor aprroval is part of the AIP process. I believe AIP will be the next step for you. The inland thread will confirm the process and wait time.

THANK YOU!! for info my friend.

It's from the date you were married. If you were common-law before hand, that doesn't count.

I received CoPR on Monday from Ottawa office, it was honestly very quick (both the CoPR and entire process) neither of us were expecting it.

Wow, that's incredible! Congrats!

They've recently asked us for an updated Schedule A so I'm hoping that means they are looking at our application? We're just worried they will request an Interview, because that will put us back another few months. But I feel if they wanted this they wouldv'e requested it by now...Fingers crossed!

interviews for Outland ottawa are pretty rare. usually there has to be some sort of relationship, dependant or criminal issue, and by relationship issue i mean major red flags or a "poison pen" situation where someone you know contacted CIC with concerns. it is quite common to have a new schedule a requested. i believe it's one the most requested documents. it could just be they need a refreshed copy, or it could indicate there was a break in the dates or not enough background listed on the original. if you haven't sent it back, make sure to carefully review the background info for break in dates and if you only went back 10 years originally, go back to age of 18, if possible. (i think im referring to the right document)
