I do not have a US passport. I'm a temporary resident here in the US.

Are you IP already? I'm May 5th with no IP yet. :-[

No, not seen yet.

I just posted this in the US outland thread, but I wanna share here too!

I GOT DM TODAY YOU GUYSSSSSSS!!!!

So excited.... Could not be happier! Hopefully they mail it straight away! Hope to hear more of you wake up to DMs today :)

The Ottawa spreadsheet is not working for me right now for some reason, but here's my timeline:

App received by CIC: Feb 5, 2015
SA: April 10
Docs Request (RPRF/Proof of residence): July 30
IP: August 6
DM: Sept 26

Note: My meds & FBI check were NOT done upfront, but I never had any issues sending those in once I received them. I sent my medical sometime in late April and my FBI check in June or July I believe?

Also I notice, I don't have a new line on ECAS saying "We reached a decision on XX date," the status just shows DM but the contents inside are the same.

Congrats! :D

I'm more certain than ever we're going to be seeing a load of Ottawa DM's in the next two weeks now

mine has changed to "in process"!

Application received: April 2nd, 2015
In process: September 24, 2015

yay yay yay!! :D
lots of people are getting DM within 2 months since they get IP!
Im excited :)

US naturalized Citizen, I was asked for my native country Crminal records... Any idea how long it take ( previuos experiences) after they got the additional documents, to reach to a desicion?

Congratulations Chelly. Although you applied a month after me, I'm going to take all the information I've read about the group updates and hope for next week on my (and many others') App. 5 years is long enough to be apart I think, I don't want to go for 6 with Ottawa.

5 years apart?! >:( that's terrible.
I guess your husband is not from visa exempt countries but the app is still being processed in Ottawa....

Thanks so much, everyone! There is light at the end of the tunnel. Ottawa seems to be moving again, so everyone else should be getting DMs very soon too. I plan to stick around this forum and see you all through the end of it too :)

No, he is. I'm actually the Applicant (US citizen), he's the Canadian. We met very young, and had a long distance relationship for 4 years, then I lived with him for 3, now we've been apart over a year and are waiting for the process to finish. Exhausting to say the least, but such is love.

Congratulations ChellyCat!!! I am so excited for you:) We all know how hard it is to be in a long distance relationship. My hubby and I have been apart 4 years & 4 months. Can't wait for the light at the end of our tunnel too.

What stops you from just coming to Canada to him and extending your stay while you are waiting for PR? Its very easy to do

He's a full time student and neither of us are rich. I have to stay home and work.
