Yup. Once they have evidence of your legal status in the US you are done.

Well, not necessarily true. Many applicants learn that CIC are very unpredictable, myself included. I received basically the same request as the one you referred to, except they requested PPR noting interview waived etc. Naturally I assumed that this was the final stage and COPR would follow within a month or so. I heard nothing for 3 months and made enquiries by email. Eventually they replied to advise that my application had been sent to LA for finalizing. I ordered the GCMS notes but couldn't find any reason why this happened. Was it administration error, or random audit review or a grouchy visa officer happy to make our lives miserable, who can say. Unfortunately the decision has added an extra 8 months wait time or more to the completion of processing.

Wow! :o Chala this is the first I've heard of this, I thought you'd be done by now...mainly have been checking to see if anyone pm'd me or if someone needed updating on spreadsheets. I'm so sorry you are going through all that!

Watching the spread sheet lately, has anyone else noticed that many of the applications that are in the "final" stages of processing are getting additional forms/docs/proofs requested. It doesn't seem like this was happening a few months ago judging by the spreadsheet.
Is CIC cracking down on applications looking more closely at everything? Or are we all just sending in incomplete packages?

One of the documents we were asked for earlier this month was proof of my (Sponsor) residency in Canada. I have lived in Canada all my life except for a year abroad 2010-2011, which was made clear in the application. There was also evidence I was back in Canada, including a signed letter from my supervisor, who is a prominent person at my university, and a list of the positions I've held since I got back to Canada in 2011. So I don't know if they completely missed it or what is going on. At least it was easy enough to prove (17 pages of scanned documents ranging from pay stubs to my dog's 2014 registration)! Still frustrating that something like that may add time to our application.

I woke up this morning to find decision made! Should i be worried about anything negative? When I was sent PPR, they also asked for proof of my wifes residency in Canada and our final permanent resident fee. All three were sent immediately.
This is going to be a long weekend for sure!

This appears to be a positive decision and you should receive COPR in the mail soon. Congratulations. You are almost done.

Wanted to post the timing to contribute to everyone else's timeline.

I have received similar emails (FBI clearance in March and my sponsor's tax return in June), but still haven't heard back from CIC.
