Eligibility is done at CSQ stage, yes, but its just a "part" of the federal process, basically, its just there, they know you got the csq, that's it, marked as "done"...next step. Security, they just "check" whether the documents you gave are consistent with what you wrote in your application, and they possibly look if they really (the employers etc) exist, and if you did something bad there, if its a different country or whatever. At csq stage its more about if you're qualified enough to be eligible for the QSW stream.

Do you follow?

That's the way I see it, I don't know how to explain it further, if somebody else has a better detailed explanation for it, please .....

Okay now that makes better understanding...so my next question is what happen after medical recv'd line appear on ECAS?
Does that mean all checks are completed or about to start?..[Inland & Outland applicants]

For inlands it means that the checks are about to start, for outlands it means checks are finished, and PPR is coming soon, possibly within 1-2 months.

Hi guys, possibly all from the QSW Stream...

I've got a really crazy idea!!

Who is currently in Montreal?

How about if we "all" meet up here somewhere in Montreal, a public place of course, cup of coffee and lets share some Info's? 8)

.......As long as the weather is nice, there possibly a couple of nice spots outside if we're many.... ?!

Lets try the Canadian system and "connect" !

Who is in? (its not the first time for me btw) You can whoever you want to bring, if you don't feel "secure".....

???

hey lepatissier,

I thought the checks are started after AOR....not after medical result received line appears.....

this is confusing :-\

The checks are started when AOR is issued, medicals received just means that you have passed your medical exams.

in addition to sharuu, you might want to have a look here as well....

slight differences in processing...

Hello,

I'm in Montréal at the moment. I agree that it could be a good idea for all of us in the same boat to meet up and discuss, among other things, our immigration application history. My timeline is as follows:
Applied for CSQ: Oct 2010
Received CSQ: 16 Jun 2011
AOR of federal application documents: 13 Jul 2011
Medical requested: 15 Nov 2011
Medical exam: 20 Nov 2011
My e-cas reads that my PR application was received on 13 July 2011 and that my medical results have been received. As far as I know, there have been no new developments since Nov 2011. When I called the hotline, I was told that my file had been transferred to Ottawa on 7 July 2012 due to closure of the Buffalo office.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my ecas status. My file is at buffalo and i guess since it was closed it is now in ottawa. But my status wasnt updated. I had my med done last April 6,2012. No news from buffalo nor updates on my ecas. Can someone give me a light on what to do right now?

We received your application for permanent residence on April 21, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on July 20, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.

We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on July 28, 2010. The Buffalo office may contact you.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 14, 2012.

By the way I paid already the RPRF. Is my PPR will be coming soon? Can someone give me a timeline on this.

Your response / suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

well, you could get GCMS notes (4 weeks) to see what going on now with your file... other than that...waiting...unfortunately... :(

You haven't done medicals yet... but that comes with the PPR in your case i guess... (don't know whether you're in canada or not, that decides it) You already paid your RPRF, thats good...

hope it helps....

i am in the same situation as you :
Applied for CSQ: June 2010
Received CSQ: Feb 2011
AOR of federal application documents: June 2011
Medical requested: Oct 2011
Medical exam: Oct 2011
Request for FingerPrint- RCMP Check: Jan 2012
Completed the check -Feb 2012

file is in ottawa , was being processed at buffalo

i am gettin worried :( looks like i have passed the normal processing time.

Is the RCMP check customary? I have not been called on for such checks thus far. I guess it would only delay things further if they require me to undergo these checks.
It seems quite unlikely that anything will be done about the early and middle of 2011 applications in the remainder of 2012. I hope however that your case is treated soon.
