CPC Ottawa closure

Hello guys, I am in the same situation as well. I sent my passport from the US and am currently residing there as well. I had sent my passport on March 6th, got delivered to CPC Ottawa on March 9th. The status online hasn’t been approved yet. Hopefully they will reopen CPC Ottawa on April 13th, and let’s all pray for some good news.

@AlphaBhangu I don’t think they are closed. I had sent my passport for TRV visa stamping (from within Canada) and they received it on March 13th. My visa was stamped on March 23rd. I am still waiting for the return of my passport.

@AlphaBhangu Passport request on March 11th, Final Decision on March 23rd. I had requested them to expedite the process due to exceptional situation using the web form. They are working in reduced capacity I think. They were quick to return passports up until the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

After many web form requests and panic, my return tracker was updated with an origin scan minutes ago (1900 hrs Ottawa time). I hope things go smooth from here. Thank you everyone for the support and good luck to you all. I really appreciate how CIC is helping people out even in this pandemic.

Here is my timeline :
Original Passport Request : 11th March 2020
Passport sent : 11th March 2020 (via UPS from Vancouver)
Passport received : 13th March 2020
Application approved : 23rd March 2020
Return tracker activated (UPS, Origin Scan at Ottawa) : 8th April 2020

I will update here when I receive my passport. Hope it goes smooth.

Did you get an email from IRCC when status in GCkey changed from Submitted to Approved?

I got an email a day after my online profile was updated I believe. Not sure about the timeline, but yes I did get an email.
