Does anyone knows if CPC Ottawa office closed because of COVID19? I sent my passport there for stamping the PR visa and now worried it may get stuck. Any info?

Even I am too in the same boat my passport was received at CPC-Ottawa on 9th March. Till date no news, does anyone knows what is the processing time now for visa stamping and to receive COPR ?

I hope they start processing passports and issuing corp the call centre doesn't even work so we can't call and ask if they're open

IRCC is active on Twitter. They are saying they are still processing applications. Hopefully this applies to passport stamping.

That would be great if we receive our passport back soon. I hope they will now take 2 weeks or so to return it back. Before 9th March the scenario was different as my friend received his passport just in 5 business days.

Seems they used to process quickly and stopped starting March 15.

My passport was received on 13th March. No updates. Submitted a webform. No response on that either. I was hoping to receive it before the US-Canada border closure as my wife lives in the US. I don't know what to do anymore

Sure I will. I was wondering if there is any emergency channel I can contact them on. I tried twitter but no response. Anyway their twitter responses seem very generic. Also "non-essential" travel across the border at this moment seems to be subjective. Not sure if it allows me to visit immediate family.

Can you explain what flag polling involves? Like do you go to the airport or what? And why can't we just go to Service Canada instead?

If border becomes open then flag-poling is the one of the option. If not then we have to take an appointment with one of the IRCC for interview in order to process our PR and sign it.
