Confirmation call from EMBASSY

one of my friend got a call from Bangalore VFS for confirmation ( asked about birthdate, college name and course, and purpose of visa).
is anything to worry about?? and do all people get a call from VFS?

i am worried because, the number which i submitted along with my file is lost. so may be they will not able to connect with me through phone.

It was not the embassy, it was VFS. Dont worry about VFS, it is a company employed by Government of Canada to manage files and submit them to embassy

But if embassy calls you for a telephonic interview and your number is not working, then they will make decesion based on facts availible
