No I am saying when someone passes all the qualifications they needed but the spouse didn’t why it matters for the other applicants??? Thinking from IRCC perspective.
All family members (spouse and dependent children) must pass the medical and other application requirements in order for the primary applicant to be approved. If one of the other family members ends up being inadmissible due to medical issues or other factors, then the application is refused.

These are the rules and have always been.

If you want to understand the rationale for this from IRCC's perspective, then it's very straight forward. If this rule wasn't in place, then a primary applicant could simply exclude a medically inadmissible family member from their application when they are applying for PR and then later sponsor them through family sponsorship (after their own PR is approved). The rule is in place to prevent people from using this loop hole. All family members must pass the medical whether they are accompanying or non-accompanying in the application. If one family member can't pass the medical, then everyone is refused.

So the final verdict is if the nephrologist writes in our favor then there will be less problems???
It depends what the nephrologist writes and how IRCC assesses this - and also what your wife's test results are. Basically what IRCC wants to see is that your wife will not need dialysis or a transplant in the next 5-10 years.

Because you are married and both will be immigrating. She must pass the medical so wants to prove she will not need dialysis or transplant within the next 10 years. If she needs a transplant in Canada, that may be considered a burden on the health care system. Doesn’t matter that you are eligible.

Where is she having the transplant? If in Canada, then that will be a burden on the system and if so, is she even on the transplant list.

Hello all,
Ircc in our case just aksed for specialist recommendations from our nephrologist and we talked with him and said he will provide one. He said from 1 year he was looking into our case it seems she is pretty much stable as her serum creatinine seems the same as before and other conditions are still normal and doesn’t know when she needs dialysis as it seems pretty stable in her case. From here can someone tell us what we can expect going forward amd do we need to prepare for something??? Please give us some advice as we are great distress

Unfortunately it's really impossible for any of us to say. It depends on how IRCC assesses the health condition. Good luck.

I wish you and your partner good lucks. Canada PR is a dream for many of us in this forum and sometime bad things happen and they are just out of our control. In any circumstances, your partner's health is what that matters the most.

Would also add that unless you have a donor lined up it will take years to get a kidney transplant from someone anonymous who has died. It sounds like she has a genetic condition that will eventually require dialysis or a transplant. The IRCC physician will evaluate her test results and look into when people with her condition typically need a transplant. What stage kidney disease as she at?

Her situation is stable now and donor will be me the husband. Plus the doctor mentioned as of now we are not thinking of dialysis but in the long run she might need it. What do you think we can get our PR in this situation???

It's really impossible for any of us to say one way or the other. It will depend on how IRCC assesses the situation. Unfortunately there is nothing you can really do but wait and hope. Good luck.

Really depends on the condition she has and average age of needing a kidney transplant with that condition. What stage is she at with her kidney disease? The higher stage the more concern. The fact that both of you will need major operations will also be a factor.

Would provide whatever information you have from doctors with their prognosis and lab values if they have been stable over years. An IRCC physician will review the information:
