Cannot login still.. getting the same error ( Internal Server Error 500) all the time.. :( :(

The technical issue banner is now just on this page:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp

I hope they fix it soon.

I can finally login. Hope the others can too.

Yes finally I can log in too.. hopefully others too :)

I'm still having this same problem. It takes around 5 tries before I can access my profile. And this problem made it so difficult to upload documents during the CIC stage.

It's April 2018 and I still have same problems. Works around after 7 or 8 tries. Surprised they can't fix this problem.

while logging on to cicwebsite using GC key and it again take back to the same page.
I tried 10 times, finally 10th time it took me to my application.
I have been using cic website for more than an year now, first for my student visa and now for PR but the same problem persist.

I figured out what may be the problem. I saved my info to my computer, but I think for security reasons you're being redirected to the home page. Try re-typing everything, username, password and so on. It worked for me.

The problem still persists, anyone who knows a way to make it work, please share the solution. TIA :)

Since I have created an account - in early October - on all browsers on all computers - I have to log on about 10 times just to get in. I cycle and cycle through the "sign up or login", through entering my username and password - only to be bounced out there, or after I accept Terms and Conditions, or even after I put in my secret word. SOOOO frustrating. So yes, the problem still persists! Really appalling.

I made an account to say that the problem still persists. CIC should really look into it. Even for security reasons, this shouldn't be happening this often.

At least they should explain what causes it, it would help at least the users to mitigate it.

It's a corrupt cookies/session issue. Logging from Incognito mode also might not help.
You will need to delete your cookies. In the cycle you will see URL change to http (instead of https) in chrome. Click on that and you will a list "X cookies in use. Just click on this and remove all the cookies for cic and anything related. You should be able to login properly after that.
If you face this issue again, you will need to delete the cookies again, it's just one step.
There are plugins which will help you to do so, but I don't think that's required for this simple or might be too technical for some users.
