CIC website login problems? Can you login properly?

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems when logging in to CIC's site? I logged in and it sends me to the page where it says last login was... and I can change password, security questions, or revoke GC key. When I click, continue, it goes back to the language selection page and when I click login again, it redirects to the language selection page until my session expires then I can log in again but the problem persists.

I'm not sure if they're having maintenance or something but it's been like this since yesterday. I cleared my cache, used different browsers, used a different device, used incognito mode of web browser but it's still the same.

Same problem here since Friday. Tried all browsers and computers, no luck. Logging in with another count works no problem, but not with the one I have updates on.

As soon as I press continue after logging in, its back to the home page.

I called the 24 hour line, I was told there was nothing wrong on their end but it was something wrong with the CiC website.

I called CiC just now, and was told to submit an inquiry online, which I did.

I am thinking would it work if I just link my application to another account instead? Will I be able to read all prior messages that account has received?

Anyway really frustrating. Should've just went the paper route instead.

Hi smullyoz, thanks for sharing. It's really frustrating. I'm not sure if you could create another account though because I think you get a unique client ID they might tag it as a fake account. I was going to call too but I guess that won't do good either. It would take them months to respond to emails or they don't respond at all. I really don't know what's happening, 3 browsers didn't work. I checked their twitter as well last message aboit their site was available to use already which was Oct 14. I think they updated something that somehow messed our accounts.

Above webpage is not coming up since last few hours.

If it comes up then I get following error after sometime:

Service unavailable

Error 503

It loads on mine but takes some time. The login problem still exists.

Yes still login problem here. This is ridiculous. I have no choice but to link the application with a new account, I have to see what the updates are for. Bunch of lightweights creating these systems, cant even do it properly. Ive searched and people have been reporting similar issues for years, with no clear solution.

I am having same problem. I am in middle of processing my application and i am due to upload some requested documents by CIC. CIC login problem is still continue since Friday last week. Its showing error 503 and i have submitted online quarry and no response yet.

If anyone still having same issues???

Hi rishirga,

It's really frustrating as I have to send my application as well. I wonder if they'll be lenient to people who got delayed because of this problem. I found out about this problem Saturday and it's still not fixed until now. Please give us update when they respond. It's taking a long time to load their site now.

My suggestion, please keep sending on line quarry every day untill u get through.

What is error number is showing in your login? I am expereincing erro 500 which is, when i enter my ID and Psw and after that it ask to click on continue button so as soon as i click on continue button, it shows internal server error which is 500.

And this is showing on all browsers MAC/WINDOWS.

Hi rishirga,

I don't get any errors. My problem is when I click continue, it goes back to language selection page (home page) which is really strange. I've also tried it on phone, mac, windows. Browsers: safari, chrome, edge, firefox. All same problems. I tried calling but I couldn't get through. I think I should send an email too.

Same problem for me still.

Though CiC have tweeted they are working on it, and even displayed a little message on top of their website. Like thats supposed to make me feel better. Bunch of incompetent hacks.

Yes, it's gone but I still couldn't login. I checked their Twitter, they responded not long ago saying that they're still fixing it. I'm not sure what's happening though.
