I have few questions regarding the IMM 5710 application. If anybody can guide me, it would be of great help.

Do i need to select option (d) for the below question.
Ques 3. I am applying for one or more of the following:
a) a work permit with the same employer
b) a work permit with a new employer
c) restoration of temporary resident status as a worker
d) Initial temporary resident permit or extension of temporary resident permit

Section : Details of intended work in Canada

I do not have a job offer in my hand right now. So, can you please let me know what do i fill in these fields. Fields cannot be left blank as the form will not validate.

a)Name of employer
b) Complete address of employer

Hello..here are the answers which i filled and which were given by the CIC when i contacted them over the phone.

Ques 3. I am applying for one or more of the following:

I am not sure. May be others can help you. My husband already had a work permit. And I attached a copy of it with my open work permit application.

my bf is in alberta and we are planning to get marry here in toronto.
he is a skilled worker and after the wedding, i can apply for open work permit right?
how long did it take before you get the approved open permit?

Mine took 85 days..You can always check the processing times in the CIC website.

I have a question. Did u undergo medical before coming here to Cnada?

in your open WP application here in canada, were you required to undergo medical exam?

I am here in Canada on visitor's extension which will expire soon in Sept. Can I apply for work permit/student visa? My husband is a student in Toronto and a permanent resident.

You cannot get a work or study permit through your husband. It would have to be on your own merits. For a work permit, you would need an LMO and a job offer. For a study permit, you would need acceptance to an educational institution and proof of funds.

Mj can apply for an open work permit if her husband's work is skilled and is under NOC 0, A and B.

Oops sorry, her husband is a student, I thought he's a skilled worker.
