1] Provide copies of the High school and B tech along with a covering letter addressed to Case officer CIC explaining the medium of instruction was in English.
2] You can not own Farmland as a foreigner in India even after taking OCI. So, dispose/make arrangements before the Oath.

Hi I have a question how many years we have to go back and provide the addresses where I live and jobs. I am short of only 10 days to complete 3 years after getting my PR. I got my PR on 27 Sep 2014 but I am in Canada since April 2011. So if need to claim 20 days of pre pr credit. So can i start the entering my details of jobs and addresses 20 days before say from 1st September 2014 or do i have to go back five years starting from 2012 and list all addresses and jobs.

What about the period 2013-2015? You have to count all days in the last four years.

Days before s/he became PR only count as .5 days up to a year though?

I do not think point 2 is right. I am basing it upon the following. Suggestions?

Here is a question for you guys, I don't recall such question:

1- I landed in March 2012
2- returned back to my country
3- after few months (Early Nov of 2012), while I was in my country, I came to Canada for training (total of 6 days)

my 2 questions are:
1- Should I write the address of the 6 days (when I visited Canada) into section 6G?
2- Shall I claim the 6 days towards my residance?

Hi guys, please help me on this:
For the address filling section in the past years you reside in the citIzenship application: my question here is: let say you have gone to India for two months and within that two months you had visited other two countries as well. In this scenario, is that I have to mention the India address and other two countries address as well or not. It was just a trip. Please share your thoughts. Thanks

dont know when the website will be updated. I guess i will have to wait until 11th kicks in at the pacific region.

no need to mention short stay for period of only several days. no need to make your case look complicated. just my opinion.

as posted on CIC website
Citizenship requirements for physical presence, language and knowledge will change on October 11. You can apply for citizenship under the new rules using updated forms available October 11.
those who have applications filled put and ready to send them in tomorrow please do so first thing in the morning. you need to learn a lesson in patience.

I have some questions. I am preparing documents.

I’ve just picked up my undergraudate transcript, the transcript should be sealed? (alhtough I did not open the envelop)

My legal name has been changed so I applied new DL and Health card. I received my new DL but Health card yet.
Could I attach a photocpoy of old health card (with old name) and the health card confirmation letter (with new name) as one of ID?

Finally, the day is coming!!! :)

Spyfy - appreciated your answers.

I carefully counted again. worst case scenario - threshold is set as 183 days / 4 years. i seriously have 185 days. what are the consequences if i send it off without a PCC?

I also have PCC application ready to go tomorrow if i have to. :(

Assuming that the 183/4 years rule still applies: Your application will be returned because it is incomplete without the PCC. There is a box in the form that asks if you have been in a country for 183 days. You must tick "yes" there (don't pick "no" because it would be misrepresentation) and therefore the case worker will expect a PCC in the attachment. If it's not there: incomplete. done. sent back.

I am curious to know why you care. If you cannot apply soon enough, why discourage people that are due on Oct 11 and ready to apply right away???

spyfy, Please advise me if I need a police certificate :

In the last five years back from Oct. 11, 2017 to Oct. 11, 2012, my residency in Canada was as follows

entered July 1, 2012, left July 1, 2013 (stayed in another country from July 1,2013 till Jan. 10,2014).
entered again CANADA Jan. 10, 2014, STAYED UNTIL NOW Oct. 11, 2017 (Left a few days in different times during this period only
for conferences of a total of 1 month).
I became PR in May 6, 2015.

If we count back 4 years immediately from the date of application Oct. 11, 2017, it back to Oct. 11, 2013,
Do I need a police certificate for such long stay in the another country from July 1,2013 - Jan. 10, 2014?

Oct 11, 2013 to Jan 10, 2014 is less than 183 days. So unless you stayed in that "other country" again later, you don't need a PCC. Please double check the PCC rules in the document checklist and application guide tomorrow.
