certificate of particulars??

So i have been asking for certificate of particular in the very final stage,my vo took my passport already n they ask for this certificate of particular, which I can get in from Hong Kong immigration , What is it for?

P.s I'm a Hong Kong outland applicant

I don't know your circumstances but can only guess ....
Since HK residents do not need a visa to visit or transit in Canada if they hold a valid Special Administrative Region passport issued by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the PRC and may be you don't have it or lived less than 7 years in HK, CIC asked you to provide the Certificate of Particulars.
This is my (wild) guess only.
