Hello, guys. I have a question about after BOWP. My BOWP will be expired on Jan 2016. Before I have Bowp, I worked as PGWP(Post Graduate Work Permit). I read on cic website that we can extend work permit only four years and either we have to leave country for 4years or study in canada with study visa. But now I have to extend my Bowp because CEC processing is delayed. Do you guys think I can extend until I get my PR or should I change to visitor visa and wait? Please give me some tips. Thank you.

Stop thinking and apply for the BOWP if you have AOR your are exempt from the 4 yr limit.
PPl like me here in this form are already on second BOWP meaning 6th year on wp.

Continue
6. Review all your inputs and Submit.

You will receive an email on the email provided. Hope this helps.

Folks,

Yesterday I received my latest copy of GCMS notes as usual there had been no activity till Oct 14 2015(thats when the file was generated I believe).

However I was surprised to receive the file a little earlier than 30 days. Usually they delay it by couple of days but this time they sent it early!!.

Anyways there is nothing in the file I should be excited about. Still waiting hopefully "Deepawali" brings good news for everyone.

Sometimes they send it out early (like after 28 days). Not related to application processing times.

I as well saw a third line "Medical results have been received" in ecas yesterday. I didn't receive any MR request, but I had to go for MR as part of my work permit application back in May 2015. Later in Aug 2015 I sent the UMI numbers to CEC asking to consider it for my PR application as well. So, now, in Nov 2015 (after 3 months), I could see this medical received line in ECAS.

My app was sent for second review back in May 2015 as I didn't have employer letter (my company doesn't provide one). But I sent supporting docs like US visa referral letter which had my job details. But the VO sent it for second review just because the US VISA letter was addressed for US VISA and not for PR. So, at this point, because they added the medical received line, I don't know whether they did a second review or not.

Few months ago, we didn't believe someone said we won't get MR until the end of this year.

Now.. I realized he was right...

How long should we wait now......? I guess hopefully in next year..?

Did someone do medical in Brampton or Mississauga? If yes can you please pass the contact details. Also what is the process to do upfront medical? Some people posted info of very cheap places to get the medical done, would that impact anything?

I have been following this thread for months now,

Application Received: Aug 12, 2014
AOR: Nov 6, 2014

As at today, Background and Criminality checks are in progress since Nov 2014, Criminality not yet started.

I was told that the processing times are increasing, but don't panic because the application is still valid.

I just did it today, but they were not asking any credit card information.
