CEC application processing time 13 months?

Hello, I am TW until August 2015. I intend to apply for CEC and was planning of doing that beginning of 2015, but now I see that CEC processing time is 13 months. Does that mean I have to apply for CEC in July this year latest? If not, when would be my deadline?

Requirement for CEC is 1 year work experience in Canada. This 1 year experience should be acquired within 3 years before applying for PR.

To add on what eds1275 just said, apply when you're ready, and there's BOWP if they're still processing your application when your work permit nears expiry.

Thank you! I am eligible for CEC as I have more then 1 year as skilled worker under 0611. The only thing I was wondering is when I have to apply for CEC if my TW is valid until August 2015.

2) In which cases I have to have medical?
3) How old police certificate can be?
4) We have a daughter (she is born here). I am not including her in my application?

1. Your spouse does not require Language test if your the principal applicant
2. You have to do medical if your applications is eligible when the officer is processing it after you get AOR.
3. I think police certificate can be 6 months old max. Not 100% sure on this.
4. Your daughter is a Canadian citizen i believe.

AOR is the application number that will be used to refer to your application. You will get this after your application has cleared the first level. This will take about 1 to 2 months after the application has been received by CIC.

You need to submit your police certificate for any country you have stayed more than 6 months other than canada. this needs to be submitted along with your application (preferably).
Medical will be requested later.

You should check i_am_toby's site. that should be helpful for you to get a good idea starting from scratch.

AOR Means: Acknowledgment of Receipt .

One more quick question: If I get police certificate from my home country, can I translate it or it has to be translated by certified translator? I think I saw somewhere that it has to be translated by certified translator, but when applying for my moms or husbands visa's I did translation and no one asked anything about it.

Hi. The police check has to be Maximum 3 months old when sending it.
You need to have it translated to French or English by certified translator.
