It depends if you plan on going to Niagara Falls, NY or just flag poling. I believe the fee for crossing by car is around 3-4 dollars.

cezycez, thanks :) Took a bus to Niagara Falls, ON and walked the rest of the way. You need 2 quarters to cross the bridge as a pedestrian, but there's a currency exchange place on site. Happy landing!

Hi guys, Received my CoPR a few days ago and finally landed today at Rainbow Bridge. Very smooth process.. both the US and Canadian officials were nice :) I was going to write a detailed report, but there's nothing people haven't read many times before. Next couple weeks will be busy for me...

Can you land by taking a Toronto-Niagara Falls, NY-Toronto train? Or is it better to just walk across the bridge to New York?

Do CoPR's include height and eye color? I specific the same height on biodata as what's in my 4 year old passport - I'm a couple cm's taller now, yay! :D And eyes as grey, although everyone says they're blue. Should I try to get that information changed at the border, when it's my turn to land...

You can always use Toby's biodata form if email printing doesn't work. :)

Apply whenever you become eligible. BOWP is an open work permit for PR applicants whose work permits are due to expire in 4 months or less.

To add on what eds1275 just said, apply when you're ready, and there's BOWP if they're still processing your application when your work permit nears expiry.
