    It depends if you plan on going to Niagara Falls, NY or just flag poling. I believe the fee for crossing by car is around 3-4 dollars.

    cezycez, thanks :) Took a bus to Niagara Falls, ON and walked the rest of the way. You need 2 quarters to cross the bridge as a pedestrian, but there's a currency exchange place on site. Happy landing!

    Do CoPR's include height and eye color? I specific the same height on biodata as what's in my 4 year old passport - I'm a couple cm's taller now, yay! :D And eyes as grey, although everyone says they're blue. Should I try to get that information changed at the border, when it's my turn to land...

    Apply whenever you become eligible. BOWP is an open work permit for PR applicants whose work permits are due to expire in 4 months or less.

    To add on what eds1275 just said, apply when you're ready, and there's BOWP if they're still processing your application when your work permit nears expiry.
