I have a quick question, can we send immigration paperwork threw UPS or Fedex? For some reason I didnt think we could but I could be way off.

Thanks Mel

Of course you can! Do you want to courier the paperwork to Vegreville or Mississauga?

Hi,

Just sent my application papers to Vegreville via Fedex this morning. I used the fastest service they have which will take about 2 days (deliver to the address at about 5pm) and it cost about 38$CAD including tax (2bl weight). So, I could joint the June thread now. Another worry to come....

Please try to think positively. Feeling depressed and frustrated is not going to solve or put an end to the situation you are in. Try to think of it this way, things do get stuck sometimes but thats life: you cant have everything your way all the time . They happen for a reason and have a way of turning out just fine.

That is so right . i will give you another situation. passport (change of status) is only ten working days here in our homecountry. So I was really hoping I could pass my application last March. But then when I applied for it, it took almost 2 months ( government problems) . There's nothing I can do, i paid for ten days but I had it for 45 days .... so instead of passing it last March, we passed it last May. And now we already have our first stage of approval. My point is, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. There are times that we are tested and all. Just keep the faith and hang on. :)

@Sahibzada: There's another bright side: applications will be in a waiting line anyways (Missassauga just went from 42 days to 40 days!), so even if it arrived in time, they wouldn't look at it yet anyway. With the mail lockout, nobody can get ahead of you (apparently not a lot of people asked for alternative addresses for commercial couriers yet), so when mail starts going around again, you should pretty much end up in line right where you were supposed to be!

No, Canada Post refuses to negociate seriously with the union. They're waiting for the law to pass.

I thought the senate was sitting through Fri and Sat to try and resolve this? Is that changed?
