Hi Guys,

I have a query in connection to the NOC codes.I have a total experience of 3+ years out of which I have 2+ year of work experience in 0124 code and slightly less than 1 year in 1123. When i combine both these experiences, it becomes 3+
I wanted to know if it is okay to use different NOC code in the application? Can I still get full points for my work experience?
Please suggest.
Hi.. Did you get PR using different NOCs?

Hi Guys,
I have also similar question. I have a bachelor degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineer. After that I worked 3 years as an Electrical-Electronics Engineer. And then I started to study my Master degree in Electrical(Elecronics and Telecommunication), where I had 6 months teaching assistant. And then, I started my Ph.D, where I was a research assistant for 5 years. After awarded my Phd, I selected for 7-months postdoctoral research fellow and then 1 years in another country as a PDF again and in Canada only 5 months as a PDF. All my job are skill level A. But, they have a different code? Can I claim more than 6 years skill level?

Hi guys,

I worked in a company for 2 months and got a new job offer and currently working for 1 year and 10 months. Can I add the previous experience of 2 months and make it as 2 years of experience when filling out EE profile for CEC? I have all the supporting docs as proof.

Please advice! Thanks!

You can certainly use experience acquired under multiple NOCs 0/A/B under EE for CRS purposes. The ministerial instructions for EE make it abundantly clear that experience gained under multiple occupations within the last 10 years can be counted towards Foreign or Canadian work experience.

For FSW eligibility though, only your primary NOC counts. In your case, recommend that you use 2282 as your Primary NOC as it will add 11 points towards the eligibility requirement of 67/100. See more about FSW grid here ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Are you 100% sure that under FSW, only the primary NOC gives points and not the others?

Hi All,

I have received SINP invitation where I have claimed 10 years of experience, out of which 9 years and 8 months are in NOC: 21220 ‐ Cybersecurity Specialists (all from India), and the rest 1.5 years are in another NOC code 13201 - Production and Transportation and transportation logistics coordinators from the UK.

My query is now - can we use 2 NOC codes for SINP application while submitting the application as said above? Kindly waiting for any help and advice.

For SINP, you select one NOC. You would have been invited based on the one NOC in the draw so it is that one. Your experience over the 10 years must only be for one NOC to count all 10 years of work experience.

Thank you for your quick reply.

When we try to add experience in the SINP application, every time it is asking the NOC code so was wondering if it that is okay to add 2nd NOC just for 4 months. To your point, Yes- totally agree as the invitation is given only one NOC code so confused about whether to proceed with the application with 2 NOC or not. If I exclude my first experience which is in a different NOC then I will fall short of the experience.

Also, the amount of total experience I am claiming is for 40 hours, I have read somewhere that even 30 hours is also considered as Full Time in Canada, also stated in the SINP application. Is that true? If so, by this logic will I not qualify for 10 years if they consider 30 hours/week?

Please provide a reference letter for each position where work experience is claimed. Each reference letter must include: job position, dates of employment, main duties, number of hours worked weekly if not indicated that it is full-time work (30+ hours or more per week), and up-to-date contact information for your supervisor/manager/human resource department. Your application may be returned or made ineligible without this information. Application fees are non-refundable.

SINP will only accept all your experience in one NOC. So you don’t include your experience in a different NOC.

SINP and EE consider up to 1560 hours per year at a maximum and the calendar years so no you cannot add the extra hours you worked in a year to add to another year.
