Can I use 2 Noc codes under FSWP - Express Entry

Hello Everyone,

I have recently made my profile in the express entry pool. I am in dilemma because my work experiences fall under 2 separate NOC codes. I have 2 Years and 4 months experience under NOC code 2282 - user support technicians and then 1 year and 2 months experience under code - 6314 - Contact Center supervisor. If don't use the code - 6314 then I loose out on 25 points on skills transferability factor because then my experience will be less than 3 years which is required to get full 50 points.

I don't want to do something which is not allowed under this program. I have read many blogs and contacted few agents but none of them could answer this for me.

Can someone please help me out here with my predicament and tell me if I can proceed with the FSWP program - Express Entry and use 2 NOC codes for my work experiences?

Thank you in advance.

You can certainly use experience acquired under multiple NOCs 0/A/B under EE for CRS purposes. The ministerial instructions for EE make it abundantly clear that experience gained under multiple occupations within the last 10 years can be counted towards Foreign or Canadian work experience.

For FSW eligibility though, only your primary NOC counts. In your case, recommend that you use 2282 as your Primary NOC as it will add 11 points towards the eligibility requirement of 67/100. See more about FSW grid here ---> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Yes for the Masters question. Any Canadian masters credential (or equivalent ECA) would get you 23 points.

No, experience for FSW can be under NOC 0/A/B.

Hello,

Thank you for answering my last question. I received invitation from CIC last week for FSW category.

Now, I am even more confused. Should I proceed with just 1 Noc code i.e. 2282 which is 2 years and 4 months for FSWP application? I am also worried, if I dont show paperwork for 6314 which was for 1 year ad 2 months experience, then CIC office may think that I have lied because then my CRS scores wont be 451 as claimed by me under Express Entry.

What shall I do? Shall I proceed with 2282 as primary NOC and also provide supporting evidence for the other occupation so that the CIC case officer knows that I didn't lie. It is little confusing.

Could you please help me out one last time?

Waiting in anticipation.

Thank you
Ritika

You have to provide supporting evidence for everything on your profile that gets you the required points. In your case, if you've claimed 3+ years of experience, you'll have to provide work reference letters for both those jobs. Your primary NOC can be 2282.

Hi,

I am in a similar, yet slightly different position and would appreciate any help possible.

I worked for 1 full-year under NOC 4163 as a salaried full-time employee.

I am now working (and will complete) another full-year under the same NOC 4163 but as an intern in a different company and different country. The internship means I work full-time (all 5 working days, i.e. 40+ hours) and get an intern stipend from the company (i.e. paid but not salaried).

Will this mean that because both work experiences are under the same NOC 4163 I can count them both towards FSWP? Does this mean that upon completion of my second full year I would be eligible for 11 points in FSWP instead of 9? I can provide a work experience letter from each of the companies I worked at.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey guys!

I had this urgent query!

I have 2 jobs spanning around 3 years.
But both the jobs fall under different NOC.
So is it okay to show 2 different NOC for the two jobs or is it unacceptable?

As in, I have experience of 2 yrs in one particular NOC in B category and another work experience of 1 yr 9 mts in another NOC in A category.
So will this cumulatively be counted as 3 years 9 months regardless of the fact it's under different NOC?

Also, from what I have read online, I also need to specify as to what's my "primary" NOC in my application. So how is that to be selected?

Hello,

I have a similar situation.

I have 8 months experience under NOC 3132 and 6 months experience under NOC 2211 from India.

Will that count as 1 year and 2 months of total work experience or am I not eligible for express entry under fswp?

If someone could please let me know that would be great,

Thanks!

My situation is: I have letters to proove 5 years of work experience in Brazil as a lawyer, NOC 4112-A. The issue I have is that two years ago I quitted being a lawyer and took a federal court position (better money, stable job....) Not only my work at the federal court fits easily into no NOC, as the court is 'problematic' to give me a letter precising what I do there...My question is: Can I use my 5 year lawyer experience in the last 7 years, and simply ignore my current job (of the last two years)? As far as CIC web site goes, I only need to proove 3 years of work experience in the same NOC in the last ten years, so my situation would be fine...

Hi,

Let's say I have 1 year of full time work experience under two different NOC. 7 months for one and 5 months for another (and still working). Can I use this combined employment experience for FSW? Or for any PNP program? I'm really confused. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Please help me with the below scenario:
Scenario:
I am working in an organisation as a manager since 2 years 2 months. (from Dec 2015 to till date)
I worked in the same organisation from Jan 2011 to May 2013 at a senior executive level.

The job responsibilities for both the tenure fall under the same NOC. (0125)

Question:
Does the title (senior executive vs manager) makes any difference in order to claim 3+ years experience using same NOC codes?
