Can a TFW go to school (part time or online)

Is it possible for a TFW to be enrolled in a part time or online schooling?
If can for how long is allowed legally.

i think if you already have your OWP and not PR yet,you are allowed to go to school for not more than 6 months.(just like my friend)

Even if you're a WP holder you could but not more than 6 months like what I did..

You can study for months legally, however if you wish to study more than six months you would have to apply for a study permit. You would be treated as an international student though thus having to pay international fees. It's a very sore topic for us foriegn workers who wish to upgrade our skills while waiting for for PR.

@cpaet10: Health Care Assistant Course..The school ask for my SIN and some basic info like how long have you been working here and expiry of my work permit etc..and just an English profiency test by the school..I studied last Oct. 17, 2011 and graduated April 13, 2012..and in case you will study keep your receipt as it is useful during tax declaration

I am from BC..I think it would be better if you try to call CIC for more inquiries and clarifications coz thats what my employer and I did before I went to school..hard to connect with CIC agents but it would be a big relief after you know that your doing the right tract/thing..Goodluck girl..If you have a background in Nursing its just a piece of cake..by the way where you from if you don't mind?

Im planning to take some short courses as well, like you had J, health care assistant course. how much did you pay? And how many times you go to school and hours? I live here in St. albert, Alberta. thanks

It was just an English exam made by the school but seems like an IELTS, well they just want to know how far your knowledge, grammar.. .. ..

It was my employer expense..5 hrs/day, 5 days a week..try to do some inquiry in your area with regards to the tuition fee.. I am pretty sure different province/school might charge differently
