Calgary Applicant Oct-2017

Due to the Calgary Office Silent. I decided to call CIC Call centre. After long waiting I was able to get a nice agent who understood what we having though. I explain to her that. I am going to travel in coming weeks if there anything she can tell me about my file. She put me on hold for like 10 minutes. After that she checked my file and said everything is done Background, etc. Just waiting for Oath and she said I should received anytime from now. But if I want I she could put a Note for me as urgent to my file so the could schedule my Oath. But she said again I could get invitation anytime soon so I told her I will wait another week or two to see what going to happen.

I had to call 5-6 weeks ago for same reason (short trip) and was told the same that my file is complete and passed all checks and most likely the next step is going to be the test invitation within few days/weeks. 3 weeks later after not receiving anything I called back to see what is going on, unfortunately. the agent who answered told me that I am still under background check!! and it takes time and the processing time is 12 months!! I have not called since that day, because I realized that I will get a different answer every time I call the center. These situation put me in stress but at least I am sure the issue is not my application for as you mentioned that Calgary office is almost silent and there are hundreds of apps waiting for test and oath invitations and even AORs. Good luck

According to excel sheet, last test invite from Calgary Feb 18, 2018. It's weird

It took 2 hours for me (10 am - noon) and we were called about 1/2 way in the line for the post interview so could be up to 3 hours if you are called later as there are a lot of people there. There is underground parking is a available at Harry Hays.

As you guys know that I haven't received any AOR or any mail from the Immigration since I sent my app on the 16th of October. and I contacted the call center, and they contacted the Sydney office on Feb12, and they got a response on FEB 15 saying that they have the application but due to the high volume of apps they will contact me.
then I waited about two weeks and I contacted my MP last Monday Today his office called me saying that the Immigration responded to their email. they said that they already responded to the call center on the FEB 15 regarding my app that they received my app on October 16/2017 and they will contact me.



what should I do? now it is almost 5 months and I think all the October's apps got their AOR except me

Chill ull get it this month. Consequences of sending application so fast

I called IRCC and the lady said all okay, just wait for the invitation letter. You have applied in October, so they have until next October to send it to you. ( I think she was referring to the 12 month process time). But really guys, it is very strange how Calgary office was working so perfectly well and quick and now out of a sudden they went into silent mode.

I sent my application Oct 11 and received the 13th.
Had my test last week and been DM since.
Only waiting for the Oath.

Will update soon I get the date.

I had my test yesterday (March 12) at the Harry Hays building and am now waiting for the oath invite. During my interview, the officer mentioned that "for some unknown reasons the reports on the security checks are recently taking forever" to get to them and the officers are no longer able to estimate the approximate time for the next step (i.e., oath ceremony). I specifically asked whether 2 months wait is a good estimate but then he replied it could be shorter or even longer than 2 months; it all depends on the office responsible for the security check reports.
So, I am personally not surprised why the Calgary office is slow these days.

All other offices work normally and they are sending invitations out for tests and oath!! Why it just only with Calgary office! doesn't make any sense.
They are just making things up!
