Hello,

My application was received by buffalo on May 02, 2011. They also received my medical and updated on E-CAS. As our file are transferred to CPP-Ottawa from Buffalo, and it's almost 14mnths since i applied, but my application status is still "Application Received" instead of "In Process". Does it mean they did not yet start processing or they started but did not updated the online status? Any1 have idea? Thanks in advance.

I do not know about the other streams. But if they have to update it to "in Process" then they have not started checking your file. For QSW, some get PR without the "In Process" status.

I tracked courier, it received by someone name J DAVIAU, But i have not got any corespondent from them.
I came to know from this forum that it takes atleast a month for any updation from Ottawa about they received additional docs.


so I am waiting, and checking e-case every day.

I am also at the same time line as yours..my application reached on May 02 and got no updates from them so far. no medical request.
it just says application received...

I have two questions for you.
1. when did they asked you to go for medicals ?
2. and how do you know that that your application is at CCP-Ottawa? you got any mail from them?

1. I got the medical request mail on 14 OCT 2011.
Actually, me n my another frnd applied together, he got medical request but i did not. Then i send them an email asking whether they send me email asking for medical or not as i was fearing that the mail was in spam folder and i deleted the mail without reading. So i request them, if they sent it already, please resend that one more time. I also send them a fax requesting the same thing. Just after few days i got the medical request over email.

2. There is an announcement on CIC website:
check at cic website>home>operational manuals>operational bulletins 2012>"Operational Bulletin 425 - May 29, 2012"
See the paragraph: "Applications in-Process".

when ever I sent a mail they say that i do not have to do anything and they will contact me.

I sent a mail to CPP-O but there the answer is same.... I am not sure what is happening..

I am QSW applicant. I don't think they will provide any update within 60days (starting from 31st May'12) due to file transfer issue. They also increased the processing time of buffalo from 14mnth to 15mnth. Hence we have to wait till end of July'12.

I've the same timeline as many of the members in this post, I haven't get any response from Buffalo after RCMP request in june-2011 Sad

Please keep us posted with your updated status and communications with Buffalo.

Yes,,,I guess I have to wait till July end. if I have missed the medical request mail what happens now ? for medical request is there any expiry date ?
I really do not understand one thing. in between I sent few queries to Buffalo but they never mentioned that they sent any letter or mail...

In the medical instruction they mention as: "You should make arrangements to undergo the required medical examination immediately. Failure to do
so within 60 days of this notice will result in unnecessary delays in the processing of your application."

What i suggested, you can try sending them both email (ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca) and fax (Ottawa: 613-946-6059, Buffalo: 716 858-9591) asking if they already sent the medical request over email or not as you are fearing that you might be deleting the email without checking if it is in the "spam" folder and requesting resend. If this doesn't work, we have nothing to do except wait.

I already sent a mail to Buffalo and got standard reply about the closing news. I will send mail or fax to Ottawa office soon...
