We also received our Medical Reguest in September and have it done the next week. Though our e-case says in process. Does it have to change to Medicals Received before you get PPR or not nasassary.

I think the important thing is to cross check with your doctor to make sure s/he sent the results to CIC. It appears for some, the e-cas is not updated. Mine still has RBVO and two lines inside. I wouldn't worry too much about e-cas, just ensure you have sent all requested documents and follow up with CIC to find out whether they have received all the documents.

Does it usually takes 2 months to get a PPR after you have done your medicals?

Hi
This is time line : FSW2
We received your application for permanent residence on January 2012.
We started processing your application on September 2013.
Updated document request in Aug 2013
Medical request on 16-Sep 2013
Medical sent on 8-Oct 2013
Finally, E-cas updated with : Medical results have been received. (2-Nov)

when I got medical request, also got PCC request. PCC was sent in 2012 already..(probably more than a year old by now)
so emailed cic about it. cuz getting a new PCC takes 8 months apparently. never got response from CIC. actually lawyer sent another email after that, still no response.

since there is a line added to my e-cas, I don't need to worry about PCC?? I wonder everything is cleared and only need to wait for PPR.
First of all, If any government department should take 8 months to process PCC, I think the aim is defeated as most PCC are supposed to be valid for just 3-6months max, from the date of issuance.

That said, you need to be absolutely sure that you have heard back from CIC before you take the next steps. Don't assume that you are fine just because you have sent an e-mail. PCC is a major statutory document/requirement for PR. Unless you have a response from CIC saying that it's been waived, your documentation/file is incomplete. I think your lawyer should know this, and I hope he's working hard for your money.

Medical line appearing on ecas doesn't mean anything else other than what it says. Many people have had that line and got additional document request later. I am one of those.

Yes, that is accurate. When mailing the original certificate make sure you quote the case analyst number on the envelope.
what is accurate? can you send he docs via e-mail except police certificates or ALL documents must be sent via regular mail to Ottawa?

It took 13 days for me.

After getting my medical they took 5 days to finalize my case. I think they are working as fast as they can.
I believe all of you will get good news soon.

I agree with alwayspositive. Mine has been changed directly from "RBVO" to "Decision Made". So do not worry about ecas but make sure whether they have received required papers.

But do not email them more than once for the same query. According to CIC if you send more than one email for one query it will make you delayed.

Hi,

In my PPR email I have found two addresses to send passports.

One is for Canada Post and the other is for Courier.

I was wondering which would be the right address from USA. Could anybody give me an idea how Canada Post works for USA. Is it for mailing inside Canada only?

I depends on your case and your background check and stuff. It's been a year now since I did my medical...and still nothing...just like Bahar...
