I'm not sure, but I think the tag is used to distinguish the officers. You can see the same kind of tags in the CAIPS notes, and in the signature of the emails you receive from the visa office.
I checked with two of the applicants who received their MD last week, and both of them have the same officer tag. So I hope to see my officer (tag) to issue medicals!

I received an email from CPP-Ottawa today requesting updated IMM0008, updated IMM5669, updated IMM5406 and updated Schedule 3 along with supporting docs.

I have submitted everything requested just now. Hopefully I will receive my medical request soon! Delighted to finally see some movement here.

Hi guys i just received Medical request, RPRF, and they are also asking for Photocopy of Passport. I already booked my appointment for medicals just now and will have it done this Saturday July 27, 2013.

here is my timeline:

FSW- with arranged employment
App date: December 2011
PER received: February 14, 2012
Updated docs request: June 29, 2013
Medical/RPRF: July 23, 2013
Visa office: CPP-OTTAWA
IM FROM CALGARY

Could you please give us the tag number of the office who contacted you? The tag is in the format of RI1234, and can be found in the signature of the email.

Great! Looks like "Buffalo to Ottawa" applications are on a move now. I applied in the same category on February 28th 2012, Got my PER on March 27th 2012. Still waiting for MR or some other stuffs. secondly, anyone knows how long may it take from medical to PPR?

Don't worry for RPRF. You can pay it anytime, from begining to end of processing. They may ask you with PPR now. Regarding the time from medicals to PPR, i don't think anybody can answer it precisely. If you are lucky, you may get it within 2 months or so, if not it can take upto a year or little more.

I think you can pay your RPRF once you have done your medical on your volition without waiting for their request. just send them a copy of your receipt with your name.
