Buffalo to Ottawa Transferred Cases(FSW) - Pls join here

Hello all,

A friend of mine who applied under FSW1 back in 2011 has received an email from CPP Ottawa asking for updated documents.
Does anybody know how long it would take to receive MR after submitting the documents?

Hi everyone. I just received my medical request today. I applied Sept 2011 under FSW2 Arranged Employment. Its a long wait but it's worth it.

I think it is positive sign that they are requesting for updated documents because it shows two things:

1. The file has been assigned to a particular officer
2. The file is not locked up in locker with piles of dust at the basement/garage of their office.
3. The file is being kept close to the officer in charge, probably on his/her table

All things being equal, MR, RPRF or other PPR is drawing near.

I applied for update on my file 3 days ago and I though I shd share the response I got with you:

"Dear Sir,

This is in response to your email (see below).
Your application is in process in Ottawa. No further action is required by you at this time.
An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.
For future reference, in all correspondence to our office, please refer to the applicant's full name, date of birth and file number. "


I noticed that this was exactly the same message they sent to me when I asked for status update one year ago. I think it is better to desist from bothering them with questions so that they may have times to focus on the application.

I also received Medical and RPRF request finally after about 27 months of wait. I applied a month after you.

Same for me that my application status also still shows RBVO status, but I guess they will update the status after they receive medicals.

Hopefully our EID gift will be Passport Request soon

Hi enyale_08, can you please update when did you reply with the documents? I received the document request on June 26th and replied back to them on July 9th. I havent received any MR request as of today. Hopefully soon.

Hi guys i just received Medical request, RPRF, and they are also asking for Photocopy of Passport. I already booked my appointment for medicals just now and will have it done this Saturday July 27, 2013.

here is my timeline:

FSW- with arranged employment
App date: December 2011
PER received: February 14, 2012
Updated docs request: June 29, 2013
Medical/RPRF: July 23, 2013
Visa office: CPP-OTTAWA
IM FROM CALGARY

In the new IM0008 form CIC requires FSW1 applicants to update, it reads:

For your application to be considered complete, you must include proof of a completed Canadian secondary or post-secondary educational credential OR proof of your completed foreign educational credential AND original ECA report from a designated organization indicating the authenticity and equivalency of your completed foreign educational credential(s) to a completed Canadian educational credential(s). Your ECA report must have been issued on or after the date on which the organization was designated by CIC, and must meet CIC content and format requirements. In addition, your ECA report must not be more than five years old at the time you apply.

Does this apply to those who have degrees from other countries and have submitted them along with their original documents in 2011? Or do they have to authenticate the credentials?

No Worries, for those applicants the form should be updated with the exception of that section.

Dear Friends,

I submitted my application to buffalo in April 2009. then it was transferred to Ottawa-CPP office in 2012. Then in May 2013 I did my Medical and paid RPRF with updated documents and PCCs to Ottawa -CPP office.

Now, TODAY upon inquiring my status from Ottawa-CPP received the below reply:

"Thank you for your inquiry regarding your immigration application. Please be advised that your file has been transferred to our office in New York for further processing. You will receive further correspondence from that office regarding your application. Please make all future inquiries to the following e-mail address:

Please tell me, what would be the next step and how long more would I wait.......?

Any 2011 FSW2 applicants got requests for Police Certificates from Ottawa? As I posted before, background checks/waves are rarely mentioned in this thread.

relax I dont think you are going to any extra investigation or interview
they simply transferred your file, they do this to easy the load on ottawa
mine was suck in ottawa about 1 year and then transferred to Detroit and everything got finalized in less than 2 months

dont know if NY is faster than Ottawa or LA but at least your file moved so that means some progress

looking at obs35 posts in the past you can tell that he or she doesn't know any better than any other user and loves to spread bad news or make that kind of comments. thats why has this Ratings: +8/-42

Just relax and ignore all comments that can make u feel nervous cause they come from other people frustrations cause you should be getting your PPR soon maybe within the next month or two
