Current processing time for BOWP is 36 days. If you dont get your PR approved by then apply for BOWP on April 25th. I see that you got AOR in December, so more likely your pr will be approved any time soon.

Thanks for your reply and your advice. Ok then will wait and HOPEFULLY PR is coming soon ! :)

I am applying my BOWP today. hopefully I will get mine done in the 36 days time frame as my PGWP is expiring on May 7th.

Hi OMNI.MCA,

Did your PR application move to R10 state before the BOWP approval? Can you share your timelines if you can?

Hi,
Once you get the AOR we assume R10 checks are completed.

Wait 24 hrs for the Inland Canada Approval letter. It'll state the validity of your BOWP. Congrats!

Hi Friends,

Today i got letter indicating BOWP for 1 year.

In the letter there is a clause saying "This letter is not valid for travel and is not a permit allowing you to remain in Canada."
I am not able to understand this statement, is it common in all BOWP letter?
Does it means i am not allowed to travel out of country?

Can you please guide me what is the next step, should we need to apply for Visa now?

Regards

Hello All,

I have received an ITA. I have submitted my profile and transmitted all the documents electronically two weeks back. I only have three months of Post Study work permit remaining. I work with CIBC as an FSR (NOC Category B). I am employed full time with CIBC as an FSR since 18 months now and have a job offer letter from them. However it is not an LMIA

So what answer should I mention to the following questions - YES or NO??

Question - "Do you have a written job offer?" When the CIC asks "Do you have a written job offer?" does that mean they are referring to LMIA?

Question - "I applied for permanent residence to an office in-Canada and was determined to be eligible for permanent resident status (first stage approval)."

Question - "Have you been told by a Citizenship and Immigration Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?"

Question - "Have you submitted a permanent resident application in Canada?"

Request you to please throw some light on this at the earliest

Kind regards

That is the approval letter and it is written in all the approval letter for everyone,
But the original BOWP you would receive by mail in one week, you don't need to show that
Letter if your current work permit has still validity as well as you should have
have Temporary Residency Visa which is important for exit and entry,or I would suggest wait for original BOWP,
If your current work permit expires soon.

Does anyone know what happens to your BOWP application if you leave the country on implied status? Will it be rejected? Thanks!
It won't be rejected.

Thanks for your update Rabin.

Yes it is in every BOWP. This just means that you are allowed to work. But if your citizenship is from a country that needs a Visa to enter Canada then you need yo apply for a visa if you leave Canada and come back.
Hope this helps

What will happen if I withdraw my PR application after receiving my open bridge work permit ?
Will work permit will be still valid ?

&

Can I apply for bridge work permit before 4 months of work permit expiry ?
Please advise.

Applied on Feb 9th for BOWP, still no update.
I think some one already got approved for application submitted on Feb 10th.
Any one in similar timeline?

Hello guys,

I am under Young Professional (IEC) expire date is 10 of May 2017 and this work permit cannot be extended. I applied for PR two days ago AOR 24 of March, 2017,

so I cannot apply for the BOWP, right?

My only option will be to apply for a visitor visa?

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you!

If you apply for a BOWP and your spouse is not in Canada, Can you make the BOWP include your spouse as well in tandem with your PR application?

Or is that not advisable and just wait for the PR app to finish which already includes your spouse?

Additionally, the question:

Have you been told by an Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?

We should select Yes

For those applying for BOWP after we submitted our EE profile (FSW) and received an AOR
Is this correct?
