why would that be when it states clearly in the website a candidate in canada and have applied for PR and has valid work permit can apply for BOWP, there is no mention of having LMIA at all....do you have source for your information

Do you got a PNP nomination? Then yes you can apply.

I think you didn't read that part where I said PNP ITA

To be eligible for a BOWP, foreign nationals must

be currently in Canada;
have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within the next four months;
be the principal applicant on an APR under the FSWC, the CEC, the FSTC, the PNC (see note below), or one of the two caregiver classes;
have completed one of the following APR stages:
their electronic application for permanent residence (e‑APR) submitted under Express Entry has passed the R10 completeness check; or
they have received a positive eligibility assessment on their paper APR submitted by mail under one of the economic classes above;
have applied for an open work permit;
have paid the work permit processing fee and the open work permit holder fee; and
have provided, as applicable, evidence (e.g., nomination certificate) that their provincial nomination is unrestricted.

I think you can still apply (CEC category). Did you answer these questions?

Question: Have you been told by an immigration, refugees........office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?
Answer: Yes ( as you already have AOR)

Question: Do you have a written job offer?
Answer: No

Hi,

I have below situation right now:

Original PGWP expired: June 24, 2016
Applied for extension on June 20, 2016 and get refused on October 3, 2016 because of lack of PNP or Federal file number

ITA received: Oct 12, 2016
AOR received: Oct 17, 2016
Medical passed: Nov 7, 2016

Right now under extended stay as Visitor until April 4, 2016

Question is: Am I eligible to apply for Open Work Permit?
What are the requirements for it?
Does IRCC issue WP if I apply just basis on AOR?

Please let me know asap if any one has pass through this situation?

Thanks

Hi,
sorry but you are not eligible for BOWP because your PGWP already expired (valid workpermit is one of the conditions to be eligible to apply for BOWP).

Hey Guys

I have two quick questions. My work permit expired on July 1, 2016 and I applied via paper application for a Bridging Open Work Permit shortly before then. I received a refusal letter in October 13 detailing I need to be in process of PR for the BOWP and that I have 90 days to restore my status. My questions are:

a) Does my 90 days to restore my status start on July 1 my initial work permit expiration or October 13 when I got the refusal letter and lost implied status?

b) I've received an ITA and applied for PR in November. So far, I've received my AOR but my eligibility is still in review (i.e. haven't passed R10 completeness check). Can I apply for the Bridging Open Work Permit with the first AOR when I submitted my PR application or do I need to wait for the R10 completeness check?

Thanks to anyone that can help,
