Great and thanks for the info, my estimates seem right on the mark!!

I applied on 3rd March and WP got approved on 1st May. So processing time for me was little under 60 days.

Hi Guys
I tried to read most of the comments but still got a question.
My friend applied for CEC in July 2014 and only received AOR so far. Her PGWP is expiring in MID JUNE. She is working for a different employer after she applied CEC.

Now to extend/apply for new work permit does she need LMIA or not? Very confused about LMIA.

Please help guys?

LMIA is not needed if you have PR AOR. You apply for Bridging Open Work Permit. As the name suggests 'Open' which means any employer, hence LMIA is not needed.

Thanks for the update, so from this we know that last week they were processing March applicants as well.

BTW, did you receive an email from them advising that you were approved prior to your status changing in your MyCiC?

As per the email notification (received on 5th May) the WP was approved on 1st May, however on 1st May (EOD) the status didn't show as approved. so i guess it takes a couple of days for the online system to reflect the status.
I got the WP by mail on 7th May (valid from 1st May 2015 to 1st May 2016, employer - ANY)

I have applied for BOWP on March 6th and got emails from cic about my file has been updated back to back on May5th and May6th ( As usual there was no update when I logged in).

Hopefully, It reflects on my cic by Monday....

please post your last 4 digit off ur application if you can with the date u applied.

I Am march 9th Applicant. yesterday night at 03:11 AM received another e-mail that there is nothing to update in your account. Came to the office in morning and checked my account was nothing updated there.
Then saw again just now so the decision says in account is approved thanks to Almighty and status saying closed now.
Did not received any more e-mail.

OMNI you should also check your account now.

Rohangk can you please advise what was happened with you I mean your status was changed first or your received e-mail 1st ?

One important question. I applied for my PR through consultant. So CIC has the e-mail and mailing address of my consultant.

Where as for BOWP I applied my self and give my address and e-mail. So is that any way that they will send my WP to my consultant address ? or they will send to my address ?

Because I heard am not sure, One of the applicant WP CIC sent to his consultant where as he puts his e-mail and mailing address.

Any Idea.

What is the mailing address shown on your eCAS?

If it is the consultants then it is very likely it will go to them, however, check online at MyCiC and see what address is shown on the letter that is in there acknowledging your BOWP application, if yours then you're ok.

ECAS mailing address is consultant address, where as I did not received yet any acknowledgment from CIC for WP. Its just the status saying closed. And your application is approved.
