Personally, I wouldn't like this approach sending letters to MPs! It's just annoying. Might even work opposite way. But this is my own opinion.

There is nothing annoying about it.

Without those emails and twitter discussions with Senators, C-6 might have been delayed even more.

MPs are there to get your email/phone calls. They need to get the feel that people out there are waiting on action. They like to hear, not annoyed.

Thank you, my friend! As I said, this is just an opinion! Apparently, not only mine!
So I won't comment this.

The order of the day shows C6 as the first thing to be discussed today. However I just started listening to the audio, and they're discussing something else. Does anyone know if they adjourned C6 or hasn't started yet ?

Ah ok. Would you please share the link ? I was looking at order of the day, which clearly is not in order. They're discussing reports at the moment.

There is no such thing a a schedule. This is only the order and notice paper. This is the list of things that the Senate CAN discuss if it wants to.

Also, no matter if they want to discuss it or not, all this stuff happens before the orders of the day:

1. Tabling of Documents
2. Presenting or Tabling Reports from Committees
3. Government Notices of Motions

5. Introduction and First Reading of Government Bills
6. Introduction and First Reading of Senate Public Bills
7. First Reading of Commons Public Bills
8. Reading of Petitions for Private Bills
9. Introduction and First Reading of Private Bills
10. Tabling of Reports from Interparliamentary Delegations
11. Notices of Motions

The Senate always puts all bills that are before the Senate on its Agenda. Bills being on this agenda neither indicates that they will discuss them today nor that they will not.

This is an important difference in the parliamentary procedure of the HoC and the Senate.

But again, they haven't gotten to the orders of the day yet anyways.
