I agree. It's just not logical. I think the amendments will be approved.
To be honest, 54 for the language prove was too low. People are not that super old at 54 to skip a language test.
60 seem more reasonable

Yeah but the Liberal Party has a policy that it's MPs have to vote in accordance to the line of the party on Campain Promises, and Bill C-6 is campain promise so since the Liberals have a majority, the motion will pass

You heard it here first. Minister Hussain's announced to IRCC staff this morning that he will reject the Revos amendment. He will reject the age increase amendment, and he will allow Senator Oh's amendment, but will propose amendments to that amendment.

The whole bill was delayed after committee stage due to the Revos amend which led to the others ...and now they are going to reject it...???????

Now people may realize how important it is to call/email minister and MPs to accept amendments and move ahead with this long delayed bill.....

What kind of pressure are you talking about my friend? Are you Donald Trump to put pressure on the MPs and the PM??
Neither MPs nor PM will never see your emails. As it was perfectly described by another user yesterday, those people have assistants who check mail boxes and answer your calls. So, you could try dialing every 5 minutes, but it won't change MPs mind.

If true, this is just crazy. All amendments are good.

The revocation one will give fairness to those who are getting screwed by other's mistake. Eg: a child come with their parents at age of 2. All get the citizenship because of the parents misrepresentation. However, the child is now an adult who has only known Canada as home. Should the child pay for the parents mistake? What is necessary is to streamline the court process in those cases.

Second amendment is still a reduction compared to the actual law. Even if he does not agree, it is a good thing for those who are at that age.

The revocation amendment wasn't a good one. It would clog the court and force people to pay $65,000 or more in legal fees or face the prospect of no appeal. It was a gift to lawyers. The courts are already overloaded and can't handle the extra work.

Having a full appeal at the Immigration and Refugee Board, and extra reasons to hold hearings will make the system a lot more fair than what Senator Omdivar thinks.

Besides her "the Minister's decision is final if that's what people opt for is unconstitutional. All decisions by the bureaucracy have the ability to go to Federal court.

Delusionals.

My MP listens and their staff pass on messages. I have personally got call from MP once on an issue. I have been called back by staff with updates multiple times.

Too bad you got your 3rd world MP still.
